Car stickers it is then!! How many times are they likely to roll out in a TTT each year? 3/4? It's a decent discipline for me Rabobank made me laugh a little.
And if BMC had raced slightly more intelligently it could have had a different winner.

Exactly. Their splitting on that short gradient closing the finish made the decisive margin.

Got a few questions...

How was it decided which non-WT teams to participate?

Isn't there same kind of rule that teams from the same organisation can't compete against each other?
Easy one!
On August 15th
- top 20 Europe Tour
- top 5 America Tour
- top 5 Asia Tour
- leader Oceania Tour
- leader Africa Tour

Teams are competing against each other, but cannot help each other in a TTT

McQuaid called the TTT a success. "However McQuaid added that trade teams would never race in the road or individual time trials races."

Never say "never."

Quinziato dropped at the bottom. Pinotti 300 mt after. And everybody probably knew from the start that they were going to be dropped on the Cauberg.

The other 4 were going pretty well until Van Garderen decided to spice things up. Ballan and Gilbert figured they had to wait Phinney, while TJVG kept going for no apparent reason even after the Cauberg was over.

Watch the replay. He ****ed it up. Blame the age, maybe his radio was off or something. But it was his fault.

there's no excuse, he should've looked back, same as idiot clement who only rode for his ego since he isn't selected for the wc itt

His radio wasn't off. If anyone has ever been to the Cauberg at the Amstel Gold Race you should know why he didn't hear anything.

Anyway, it's his own fault and he'll have to do a lot of domestique work for Ballan and Phil to make this up.

He dropped Evans too in the Tour. He's learning the hard way and fast.

Agreed. Tejay wouldn't be the first 24 year old racer to have trouble regulating his pace in a group of weaker riders. Any weekend club racer sees the same. His strength in the TTT is further confirmation his form in the Tour was not fleeting and he will be a force as he continues to develop. He won't win next years Tour but with good health and preparation he should be even stronger than this year just based on his age and natural development. Would be nice to see someone else other than AC who can pressure Wiggins / Sky.

Tejay blamed himself, just an honest mistake late in a technical TTT. I must say if he is distined for domestique work on BMC, then he will quickly find a new team where he will need not do much work for anybody. The mistake shows his youth and his talent at the same time. He dropped Gilbert and Ballan both on the Cauberg.

Gilbert didn't get dropped, he noticed that Phinney had trouble and waited for him. But impressive riding by TvG nonetheless.
