So in summary looking at the rankings in Feb mean diddly squat.

I agree with Ruben, Vacansoleil will be not even be bottom 5, very strong squad

I wasn't trying to indicate that the current standings were indicative of what the final standings would be... just wondering what other posters thought the "bums" this season were going to be. I just gave current rankings as info

Even if they are still being prosecuted, the fact that it's taken so long = no clear direction = likelihood of being referred to CAS.

And since both Eze and Babyface have been cleared to ride, that means they'll probably be on the road for some time yet, maybe a year or more if the cases of João Cabreira and Alejandro Valverde are anything to go by.

By which time Eze can probably retire anyway.

LOL?

Why do people keep forgetting that the bulk of VSC points was not from Ricco (ricco was good for about 10%).

Just look at the quality through the team... they have some nice 2nd line sprinters that'll rack up points. They've got guys like Carrara and Marcato. Devolder, Leukemans and Hoogerland. Poels who is on the verge of breaking through, etcetera.
You dudes are seriously underestimating the team. But ok, we'll see at the end of the year I suppose.

Honestly, I spent probably 20 seconds thinking about it before posting. I thought Ricco and Eze might be gone and that they probably scored a bunch of points in smaller races last year since they were left out of a bunch of the major ones; this year they'd be competing against stiffer competition.

I didn't actually go to CQ and confirm that assumption - it was just my my 1st impression.
