Yes that’s what the records officially say but Contador won the 2011 Giro in epic crushing style before that was erased retrospectively. And despite Giro fatigue and crashes Contador lit up the 2011 TdF with searing attacks on stages 16,17 and 19 (and a near miss on stage 4). Unfair to say that 2011 was one of Contador’s worst seasons.
