With Froome being Froome, I don't think the team tactic for next year should be fuglsang as a domestique for Nibali, but as a co leader. As a domestique they are fighting for 2nd as a co leader it means they are fighting for the win or be damned, i imagine Vino would approve.

There are many things to factor in, like race situation, riders shape, etc, but I don't dislike the idea. Trying to keep more than one rider close in GC means you have more weapons to create chaos in the most difficult stages.
I doubt SKY will ever have such a weak team in future gts though. And it's almost impossible to derail the train if they're as strong as in 2012.

One thing for sure. The kid took it easy during yesterdays ITT, which suggests he could have that role in the upcoming stages. Don't know if he can do it for three consecutive stages. Consistency is a rare virtue at that age.

Ye Vino kinda said he had big plans with Jakob and that Giro could be the goal next year. Nibali and Jakob exchanging goals next year it seems

If the Astana team is able to deliver Nibali till the time Porte makes his greatest injection of speed ~5-8 km to go then it would have fulfilled the purpose of being a team.

Hopefully Kangert can improve even more next year and take a Kreuziger role for Nibali in the 14 tour. That would make the race very exciting indeed.
