All message boards have a thread like this, and so now also Cycling News has its own (sorry if it exists already, couldn't find it). Your username - what's the meaning or story behind it, why did you choose it?

My username is due to the fact that I lurk this forum, used to and still do! One disadvantage of being a lurker is that you can’t post, and so even if you have ideas for posts when lurking, they simply remain in your head. And so when I signed up, I made a lot of posts right away - the name “Lurkerman”, then, conveys that this bursting onto the scene is what happens when you have been lurking for too long.

Whilst it did not think about it when starting my account, I since realized that in one of my favorite albums, one of the lyrics is “I stay low-key when I’m lurking”. That made me even happier about my username, and so I have now put said album cover as my avatar.

I'll take every opportunity to plug the band The Delgados to anyone who cares to listen.
The Delgados are, in my opinion, an underrated band from Scotland who arrived on the scene in the mid-90's alongside awesome bands like Mogwai and Arab Strap.
Although the band's name is a reference to Pedro Delgado -- and album titles include, Peloton and Domestiques -- I don't think there are any mentions of cycling in their songs. Hopefully a band member reads this forum and can chime in if I'm wrong.
Their sound ranges from lo-fi grungy arrangements to what I can only describe as orchestral rock. I'm not good at describing music, so feel free to check it out for yourself.
