When you say travesty, is it because it's not hard enough? Asking because not hard enough might make for a much more interesting race, given Vingo's dominance so far this year.
I totally agree. If we have learned one thing, is that when there is a difficult course, it just accentuates the time gaps. Especially with summit finishes.

There are less obvious opportunities in this race. It just might make for a more tightly contested, and thus interesting finale.

Both that and a really, really uninspired set of climbs. Nothing new, nothing innovative, all climbs that the péloton ought to know like the back of their hand by now. Obviously the Basque Country is very well-trodden cycling-wise, but there's still places that either haven't been seen or have different sides and ideas, but this contains less than none of them. Barely more inspired than an ASO Pyrenean stage.

It's worse than that because it's much worse than what they have done in previous years! It's not just that there is nothing new but it's nothing new and also worse than before at the same time!

On a normal course, Vingo would win this easily. However, Evenepoel will probably have a small lead from the TT and I don't see Vingo dropping him and so he might win. Dark horse is Ayuso if he TTs like he did in TA for the same reasons

Interesting, thanks.
