PCS updates -
"The race has been paused because they are waiting on new ambulances after a crash in the peloton. A restart will be given at km 166, once new ambulances arrive. Also the KOM on Belleherbe no longer counts."
...
Update Pau Miquel Delgado: Pau was one of the three riders involved in the crash that paused the race. Pau had to be airlifted to a hospital in Besançon, his condition luckily isn't critical. Inigo Momene and Unai Jauregi, who were also involved have minor injuries.""
Hope all are well soon.

Meanwhile, in another part of France, I'll like to inform you that normality has been restored, and rather than - as it looked like might happen for a few days - a Swede winning the GC in Loir et Cher, it was won by a Dane.
A Norwegian won the final stage.

Steffen De Schuyteneer(still 19y old) 3rd and 2nd again. He seems like a future goat for the most top 10s without a win competition...

Although there is some other race in Belgium, all eyes will be on the 87th Giro della Romagna (back after 13 years absence), Lugo to Castrocaro Terme e Terra del Sole (1.1 the only races worth watching!) 196 km, start 11.00 CET, TV from ... ?

UAE are here for more UCI points I suppose, but they seem to have a lot of kiddies so it could be interesting.

UAE just ride all Italian races, maybe because of their Lampre roots? Points too, maybe, but it's not like they're riding all races in France and Spain.

Definitely because of their Lampre roots. They have good connection with all race organizers + many of their sport directors are Italians.

That said, it's getting ridiculous. In a race like Giro di Romagna they could legitimately sweep the podium (perhaps even the top5 depending on Bardiani's and Polti's roster).

Looks like highlights of the Giro della Romagna today are on RAI

Morgado wins for UAE and Bou comes second for Euskaltel (and looks like he's just been stung by a bee!)

Meanwhile Marc Hirschi is furious that he's been sent to that small race in Belgium instead of having the chance to shine in the great Giro della Romagna.

Haven't seen any pictures from the race yet (Rai is slow to upload currently) but apparently there was a bad crash with 200m to go as a moto missed the deviation and instead parked on the finishing straight.

Mikel Iturria was brought to hospital with "several fractures and a minor head injury", but is "out of danger" now, according to Spanish media.

Vuelta a Asturias.

Today first an Queen stage of three. In general medium mountain stages.

it should be a fight againts Del Toro and the logal Pelayo Sanchez IMO, but there are several interesting names there: Restrepo, Vuilleimonz, Majka, Morgado....and a good race for Burgos, Euskadi...

I am glad to see racing at his country to Edgar Nieto. from Victoria Sport He is from my region, not far from Asturias, but he is one of the most international cyclist ever, racing races at all the continents, usually racing at Asia.
The strange is to see him racing at his country.

Well, whatever the picture was supposed to represent, Sunday 28th is the Famenne Ardenne Classic (1.1 the only races worth watching!) 195 km, from Marche-en-Famenne to Marche-en-Famenne (yes, it's a loop and with circuits) start at 12.05 CET, TV from 15.00 CET

This was the race last year (in October) famously won by a one-legged De Lie, so will he use both legs this time?!:)

Also the race where he in 2022 crashed inside the final kilometer, remounted and got back to get a 15th place in the sprint.

What trick does he have in store for us this time?
