We hope all of you have a great holiday season and wonderful Christmas. Thanks so much for being part of the Cycling News community in 2025 and beyond!
He looked very strong but also looked like a true leader. He kept track of his team to get them through the end. He has some great natural leadership qualities.
Interesting. Would Saxo have been theoretically eligible for such points if they'd kept Contador in their TTT squad?
It's a hard race so it makes sense to have an incentive. I think it was the teams who worked to get this race in place in the first place though. Many don't seem to be sending...
Would one of these 3-month wrist slaps still mean a life ban for a rider with a previous ban like Scarponi? I think his hearing is very soon but I can't find it?
I don't recall seeing an alternates list but Talansky probably should have been selected in the first place. He's on the Garmin squad for the TTT so he's already making the trip.
I'm interested to see who else Garmin uses for that TTT. I think JV pushed hard for the event but I don't think...
He's not losing any results.
But it is a doping suspension so next year he should be a bargain at his 2011 cost of 311!
I was just thinking that there are actually several riders on my team I might re-use next year.
I didn't get many points out of the Vuelta but my other riders did quite well during the same time. Hopefully it's enough that I don't drop much. I think I have quite a few guys still motivated for Worlds and beyond.
He used to seem like a fun guy who loved riding his bike. It's been a long time since I've seen any of that spark.
Maybe he could spend the Winter in the Southern Hemisphere. Someplace with nice weather and some good climbs and no pressure.
I'll go with 7. I'd actually rate the GC battle higher but the boring sprints is bringing down the score. Sprint stages are usually dull but the actual sprint finishes in this race were very forgettable as well.
Definitely my favourite GT this year. I really enjoyed the team tactics at...
Dombrowski would be great sporting-wise. Does that Bontrager team do any training in Italy? I would think riders with some Italian experience would have a much easier time of it. I guess there's going to be a lot more English spoken on that team next year but it's not just about the language.
One of those stages where some of the best action is likely before coverage as riders and teams scramble to get in the break. There are a lot of teams with nothing to show for this race and a lot of very good riders who aren't a threat on GC.
The website has a broadcast schedule:

Past years, the local coverage has included an unrestricted, legal feed in French for the entire race but I'm not sure if this is the same broadcaster?
I think that sportsnet.ca feed is...
