Worlds Team Time trial Race Thread

He looked very strong but also looked like a true leader. He kept track of his team to get them through the end. He has some great natural leadership qualities.

    Is the Peloton mostly silent?

I remember Valverde used to be quite chatty even when he should have been paying more attention. I think he got caught out a few times that way.

    2012 Tour of Britain (9th - 16th September)

Agree! Really beautiful and also distinctively English. I like local character in races.

Samuel Samu Sanchez official awesomness thread.

He always has such genuine joy in his victory celebrations - even when it's for a teammate:)

Worlds Team Time trial Race Thread

Interesting. Would Saxo have been theoretically eligible for such points if they'd kept Contador in their TTT squad? It's a hard race so it makes sense to have an incentive. I think it was the teams who worked to get this race in place in the first place though. Many don't seem to be sending...

    Pozzato and CONTI

Would one of these 3-month wrist slaps still mean a life ban for a rider with a previous ban like Scarponi? I think his hearing is very soon but I can't find it?

    WC National Team Selections

I don't recall seeing an alternates list but Talansky probably should have been selected in the first place. He's on the Garmin squad for the TTT so he's already making the trip. I'm interested to see who else Garmin uses for that TTT. I think JV pushed hard for the event but I don't think...

The 2012 CQ Ranking Manager Game

He's not losing any results. But it is a doping suspension so next year he should be a bargain at his 2011 cost of 311! I was just thinking that there are actually several riders on my team I might re-use next year.

The 2012 CQ Ranking Manager Game

I didn't get many points out of the Vuelta but my other riders did quite well during the same time. Hopefully it's enough that I don't drop much. I think I have quite a few guys still motivated for Worlds and beyond.

    Andy Schleck Discussion thread.

He used to seem like a fun guy who loved riding his bike. It's been a long time since I've seen any of that spark. Maybe he could spend the Winter in the Southern Hemisphere. Someplace with nice weather and some good climbs and no pressure.

    Rate Vuelta 2012

I'll go with 7. I'd actually rate the GC battle higher but the boring sprints is bringing down the score. Sprint stages are usually dull but the actual sprint finishes in this race were very forgettable as well. Definitely my favourite GT this year. I really enjoyed the team tactics at...

    Transfers and Rumours 2012 > 2013

Dombrowski would be great sporting-wise. Does that Bontrager team do any training in Italy? I would think riders with some Italian experience would have a much easier time of it. I guess there's going to be a lot more English spoken on that team next year but it's not just about the language.

Vuelta 2012, Stage 19: Peñafiel > La Lastrilla (178.4 km)

One of those stages where some of the best action is likely before coverage as riders and teams scramble to get in the break. There are a lot of teams with nothing to show for this race and a lot of very good riders who aren't a threat on GC.

    Transfers and Rumours 2012 > 2013

Anybody have rumours/speculation about who might join? Are there some good Americans available who could fit in an Italian team?

2012 Grand Prix Cycliste de Quebec/Montreal

The website has a broadcast schedule: http://gpcqm.ca/uploads/pdf/Telediffusion-GPCQM-2012.pdf Past years, the local coverage has included an unrestricted, legal feed in French for the entire race but I'm not sure if this is the same broadcaster? I think that sportsnet.ca feed is...
