Official Lance Armstrong Thread: Part 3 (Post-Confession)

SCA should say: "Finally, the last thing we'll say to the cyclist who don’t believe in paying up, the cynics and the lawyers: I'm sorry for you. I’m sorry that you can’t dream about paying up. I'm sorry you do believe in miracles." :)

Teams & Riders Froome Talk Only

This test-us-please plea seems to be a big round of: "Well, we know they can't test us positive with what we are using so let's really rub their faces in it." (as in saying we drive on espresso with honey, etc.). Who cares if everyone knows the sport is in the New Dirty Era.

    The Climb (Froome's first autobiography)

"A marvellous book detailing his accomplishments. It does hurt it though, that he is not musing about his massive doping program" -The Clinic

You are certainly right about that. Michele know his stuff like few other (known) experts. He has a bit of a villainous Yoda aura about him, which is disturbingly delightful.

Teams & Riders Froome Talk Only

What Froome says about it being hard to avoid the testers is just dumb. If we know anything it is the fact that you have to be almost stupid to be caught. The testers are on an impossible mission and will of course not find what they are not looking for. Also, I would like someone from the...

Just like when casinos hire expert cheaters as floor detectives, Armstrong could get hired by USADA or WADA to spot dopers. Definitely full time employment. :)

I think he will live comfortably forever with "everybody was doing it" and he will patiently wait for the rest of the world re-accept his accomplishments. What he did to people along the way seems to always be a non-issue.

Jonathan Tiernan-Locke written to by UCI, asked to explain blood values

To be fair, most people think that there is something spectacularly fishy going on with Sky AND other teams, certainly including Tinkoff. You can't seriously say that isn't the case. Right?

I don't know if "trolling" was a term back then but that was masterful.

    being on the record...manifesto baby

I have slowly learned to live with the fact that the sport is dirty. Previously it was more okay to cheer those not caught but now I fully realise that the large majority of riders are getting help. With regard to point 8 I must say that it is impossible. It is absolutely not possible because it...

Contador and Froome: Clean or Dirty?

This is just laughable. Biased and unsubstantiated? Where have you been the last 25 years??? Most if not all suspicions have been proven absolutely correct and the circumstantial evidence surrounding the riders of today point in the very same direction. And what possible use could the...

    Doping in other sports?

There should be a thread collecting these articles relating to doping. I would probably want to read the SI article again at some point but my memory would betray me as to the whereabouts.

    Doping in other sports?

Thanks. That was a great article, a true evergreen.... It serves to understand the mentality of anyone dedicating their lives to winning which obviously clashes so very hard with the public's expectations of purity and fairness.
