Re:
Doesn't salbutamol have a similar effect to cortisone when injected into the blood stream?..anti inflammatory..presumably if used in a much higher dose it would boost performance significantly then there may be a way of flushing it out of the body before the dope control? Maybe having a...
He was getting popped up for his next grand tour..same old story..strange how these riders are taking a substance which is easy to detect..take it..get caught..whats the point??
Re the blood bag theory..can't they trace this now by checking for plasticides and other chemicals that are used to lubricate the blood when it is stored in the blood bag. Also wouldn't this show a sudden mature red blood cell increase on his bio passport and drop the production of new red blood...
To me Quintana shows a bad pattern in 3 week races..in the last TDF he faded gradually then came back like 10 men after the rest day..not the first time he's done this in a major Tour. I'm thinking there must be some new EPO on the market..Ac's talking about doing 2 more years :-)
Re:
I agree, he got done for Clenbuterol but it was only because he had a transfusion that had traces of Clenbuterol in it probably a bag taken from him earlier in the year..I doubt he was using Clen during the season..it's too easy too detect..
He didn't get done for the transfusion because...
I think George Bennett is in good hands with the MPCC..yes I agree this makes him look bad but the MPCC is protecting his health..warning him that his "legal" medication is on the verge of damaging his cortizol gland so in pulling him from the race they are trying to protect him ...he's got...
I just don't think Sky should have to open up and give data to the press, as Kimmage suggests in the radio interview, unless all teams do the same..and I don't see many of the other teams agreeing to that at the moment..
Re: Re:
Er..it wasn't me who brought up the Le Mond Froome comparison..I just carried on the discussion..please read back on the thread before you embarrass yourself... and then you can get back to Kimmage..
Re: Paul Kimmage - Hero
Not really a good comparison..totally different eras in cycling and no info there on what training each rider was doing at the time..did Froome train at all before these races..?? Le Mond lived and trained at altitude..did Froome confused:
Re:
Well yes but before Le Mond won his second Tour he had no form until the last time trial in the Giro..he didn't look like a champ at all during the race...things can change quickly in cycling..not commenting on Froome's credibility here just saying things aren't always clear cut...
Re: Re:
Froome does have similar power out put to Le Mond...415-430 watts average for Le Mond in a time trial, Froome's average watts are similar over the same distance I think?
