    That is very true the reason i did use "sir Lance" is because he was able to manage his effort well, and ride well at the tour. But you are right that it does depend on how much it takes out of the rider which is what I meant when I said it depends on the rider and the way they react to the race.

    Schleck's plus Kirchen and then scrape up the whole other 4 riders in LUX they would do ok. Italy would be solid aswell with Cunego Simoni Basso Franco P. and Nibali

    The bottom line is That BMC has better quality riders and more to bring to the tour then other teams but if you look at all the teams everyone who is anyone is going to be at the tour. That should make for a great race wich is what the ASO wanted.

    TOC is growing every year it was a good move to have it in may because now they can have so real climbs and not worry about snow. Also thaey are getting big names and it wont be three guys specially prepared in febuary for the race.

    "not so great GC contender" :confused: He has finished Second in the tour twice in some of the closest finishes ever. By saying that you basically said that Basso Ulrich Kloden Levi etc. are not so good GC contenders!!!!!Cadel is one of the most solid riders in the peloton!
