I was wondering how NTT or UAE did not offer him a contract, I guess that makes sense.Paweł Poljański (BORA) retired - allegedly he had offers from WT teams, but with a lot lower salary than in BORA, now he will focused on being landlord
Huh? Referring to some instance where he could have won a stage, but didn't?"Giro stage winner" Luka Pibernik has decided to call it quits after failing to find a new contract.
No, cause he could never have won that stage. But he did think he had, for 5-15 seconds.Huh? Referring to some instance where he could have won a stage, but didn't?
Lots of riders have mistakenly thought they've won something. No, cause he could never have won that stage. But he did think he had, for 5-15 seconds.
Yeah, but I mostly remember Pibernik for that occasion, and I would have loved to see him get a big win after that, but it wasn't to be. Slovenia didn't suffer too much though.Lots of riders have mistakenly thought they've won something.

A shame for him that the TdF doesn't use national teams any more. Slovenia would be the strongest team."Giro stage winner" Luka Pibernik has decided to call it quits after failing to find a new contract.
He won a stage in Eneco Tour, though, so at least he was able to celebrate something. Funny enough (i just re-watched the final sprint of that stage), he never lifted his arms in that stage.Lots of riders have mistakenly thought they've won something.
