Is ok Parrulo thanks for the remark. No strange but vladimir efimkin gave back his contract because his wife in the US is very ill. Hopefully, things work out okay for both he and his wife.

[Vladimir Efimkin done in Europe?] his career is on hold until his personal life is sorted. That is typically the case if a rider asks to leave a contract like this. It likely has little to do with his cycling career ambitions.

Et af Danmarks største cykelhold, Team Designa Køkken – Blue Water, lukker efter denne sæson.

One of Denmark's largest cycling team, Team Design Kitchen - Bluewater, will guit after this season. The team has tried to find new sponsors for the team, so the team can continue on the same level in 2011, but it has not succeeded. Thus ends a great era, which began in 2004.
The team's manager, Michael Blaudzun, who just took office in spring also called it a sad development.
"It's been an interesting year. I was already starting to make me some ideas for next year and had some plans for the future with the team. We have some of Denmark's best talents and best cyclists on home ground. It's sad.

A view riders that came out of the team: Chris Anker Sørensen, Martin Mortensen, Jakob Fuglsang as Aleksejs Saramotins (Team HTC-Columbia) and Laurent Didier (Team Saxo Bank) were passed on to professional teams last year. Source: http://peloton.dk/index.php?id_parent=1&id=28&id_nyhed=28126

Roy Sentjens (29) from Milram retired on the spot, by admitting the use of PED today - Friday, September 10, 2010.

Translation from his own website:

I always trained and raced behind the facts, so my frustration was getting bigger and bigger. The disease also still played a part in my head, how could I ever reach the top level again ?

My season was already a disaster, I did everything but it wasn't working for the goals I had set in my mind. I slept no more, thinking all the time how in the hell I could still improve, I did everything. But even that did nothelp and fell into a depression.

I made the biggest mistake of my life, I've succumbed to the pressures and expectations that everyone still had. I wanted a new contract, I had a new house, a son, a car and wanted to return to start a new life. That's where I went wrong.

I stepped in my car in a rush and drove to Barcelona, parked in the center, found several pharmacists and asked where I could find EPO at the 2nd it was already bingo. I drove home with the EPO, I will not tell you everything that went through my head while driving home.

On August 16 I got a control, I knew right away that it was wrong but couldn't stop tell anybody. So on Wednesday, September 8, I raced the last race of my life.

I hereby therefore definitively put an end to my career as a professional cyclist!

I will not apply for the b-sample, because I know what the outcome will be.

I know I did let down a lot of people and I want to apologize to everyone who believed in me. I've done wrong and will suffer the consequences thereof.

However, I want to thank everyone who has supported me in recent days, I'm ready for a new challenge. Something for which I will fully deploy, I still not let loose. I am a fighter! Hopefully there will soon come a new goal to me!

Californian Antonio (Tony) Cruz (39) ex rider from USPS, Discovery and BMC, called it a quits last week, and started his own [Bicycle Company] and so retires officially on Spetember 19, 2010, [presstelegram.com]

Quote from Cruz: "We were trying to weigh all the options," said Cruz, a former criterium (short course) specialist who took the U.S. title in 1999. "I've got my family and I'm trying to figure out, `Do I want to start looking for another team and ride for maybe half the salary I'm used to getting?' And Shane on his end is thinking, `Do I just go back to working for a big company again or do I do what I want to do, which is design bikes the way I want to design them?' We just came together and said, `Let's just do this."'
The result was Cruz's retirement from the sport, a partnership with Fedon and the formation of their company, Cruz Industries.
