Great result for Valverde. Particularly as it seems to have annoyed so many of the sanctimonious biased know it alls on this forum. Laughed all my way through my celebratory glass of the very best cava.

I'm happy that it makes you happy that an unrepentant cheat is thriving.

If I was a knave, I would be a Valverde supporter.

I am neither.

There are no repentant cheaters. If you think there are, they have fooled you one more time than the rest of us.

Lol @ the Costa/Alaphilippe incident. You gotta be on CN to read this. Costa was hindered by Moreno decelerating and had to find his way back. Nothing wrong at all.

Niels Albert had an interesting quote for this, sounded like: "You might as well play badminton, then. Then you are on either side of the net and there's no boxing." :D

And if I have to be biased towards someone, that would be towards Alaphilippe, whom I've been following closely since his junior years in cyclocross. I remember his win at the Nations Cup, on the Saguenay River in Quebec, back in 2012. Nice evolution. :)

Besides, as a cyclocrosser, he must have seen much harder rubbing than this...

Yes, unfortunately. Wish purito had more, but Valverde earned it today that's for sure. Purito could've had more, sometimes due his own faukt, but also a WC title valverde screwed him over with.

By the way, Quintana did nothing for Valverde in Fleche nor Liege.
He did protect Valverde in FW and he felt today so he couldnt do anything.
Get your facts straight before you spit a BS

Protect from what? And Where? Did you see that? Cause I didn't! Oh and the only one who is spiting a BS is you!

The worst spring classics season in recent history. Absolutely none really good races.
What type of race scenario makes a good race for you (serious question...not trying to be a smart ars)?

Kreuziger gets a lot of praise and deservedly so, but I think Fuglsang rode a really good race as well. Really strong ride and always right at the front of the race.

I agree. It was definitely better than in recent years.

Well, some action before the last 10-20 km would be ok. In Amstel there were a group of 40-50 riders that hit Cauberg the last time. The same applies for PR. I don't think I have seen so many riders together at Carrefour, just 17 km before the finish.

The two big Belgian races were somewhat better, but also here I have seen more entertaning races in the last years. Both the 2010, 2011 and 2012 versions of LBL were better.

That means mostly medium entertaining races, none that stood out as really good and Amstel was the most boring version in recent years. In total the spring classics of 2015 were below average in terms of entertainment.

Because you said that. I didnt see Quintana helping in any way to Valverde in Fleche nor Liege. In fact, I didnt see Quintana except the moment everybody saw him recovering from his crash today. He was the one supossed to be with Valverde at the very end of the races.
Not cuz I said that, but because you could see that in last 8k of fléche.Today he was supposed to help in last moments, not freakin 50k's to the line, but he crashed.I see you can not figure this, so you probably should watch cycling more oftern and then write stuff (with true point)

LBL has been missing riders who will go for broke early and always. Until 2011 you always had the Schlecks going for it earlyish and in 2012 Nibali caused great action. What's really missing is a top contender without a sprint not satisfied with anything but a win. Race would've been better with Contador there for example, because he would likely go for broke completely on the Roche and the field would be decimated after that

Just watched the last 10k. Can't speak for the early parts of the race, but the final was definitely better than last year. Wasn't surprised with Valverde's win (who is), but I'm bummed Katusha wasn't able to win with Moreno and Jrod there in the final. As has been said in Jrod's thread - it seems like he has lost his explosiveness.

The Schlecks didn't go earlish either, let's not go too crazy here.

They went at about the last moment before it all became a total disgrace.
