Only the teams without good sprinters have been wanting to pull all day, although I guess Viviani has been dropped based on what Ineos are doing.

If this comes down to a sprint I put my money on Consonni. The guy is actually competitive against top tier sprinters after a hard race on hilly terrain.

This group could actually make it.

Total should be smart and use every rider they have chasing this because Strong has actual chance of winning this and that would give them hope at catching them for the WCs.

But why isn't Cofidis chasing tho. You have one of the favorites in this situation...

No idea, was he dropped? The guy has finished top in (slightly reduced) bunch sprints after hilly stages in the Tour before, he's legit after a hard race.

Ballero wins easily. Corbin in 3rd? If so, not a good move to follow earlier in hindsight.

2nd or 3rd yeah. Not the best tactics. He was also in the first move with 14 riders but got dropped then.
But proves once again that there is finally a young kid at Israel that is pretty good. I would try to poach him if I was some WT teams at the end of the year.

no worries, they'll still have him leading out Taj Jones when there's the next opportunity ;)

Wonder if the Steppers will manage to copy their one-day prowess onto the GT unit.

Missed the race, but noticed Moscon in 17th. His best result of the year. Astana need him fit for next season as they'll be one of the favourites to go down.

A friend of mine sent me a picture of him at the start line of a recent Italian race. Let's say he's not particularly fit at the moment.

I finally got here after watching the replay on Tiz.... What was the broadcast director doing with staying with the QS leadout guy(camera feed) after pulling over to the other side of the finish for about 5 seconds in the last 330 meters! Yikes should have switched to the finish camera right away. I was thinking whats happening in the sprint we can't see it! Weird.
