Yes, I do think your first post (quoted below) that I replied to does imply you think it being a bad thing and that you’re indicating that Uno-X just goes all out to stop Cofidis while in reality they put 1 or 2 guys on the front and saved their fastest riders (Hoelgaard and Løland) for the final. What Uno-X did today would be the right way to ride for result in this situation (0 riders in a front 12) even without the battle against Cofidis.

Come on man....... Their sprinter was fricking Hoelgaard, he's not winning this, he's not getting on the podium in a bunch sprint. The only reason they went all out like they did, even before the last climb is cause a Cofidis rider was in front. Any team that does not are about points but has someone like Hoelgaard as their man sprint would at least poker a bit an look at other teams who have better sprinters. Either you're hilariously overrating Hoelgaard in a bunch sprint or you're just trying to protect your team against someone who is actually supporting it in the battle for the WT and thinks riding against Cofidis right now is exactly what they should do.

No, you can come on…
If they dont ride Hoelgaard would have no chance in the sprint for 13th. How is that better than chasing down the break and sprint to 8th????

Keep believing their main goal here isn't just UCI points and the fight against Cofidis LOL. And yk what. They actually did a really good job today. Also because Cofidis sprinters suck once againt, but still.

The bolded part is what I have argued for the whole time…
I literally wrote that the way they rode was the right thing to get result (and therefore points) and that its much better to be 8th in the sprint for 1st than being 8th in the sprint for 13th.

In races with a worse field and one of them in a sprint. Again nothing to do with being able to make that front group or not. I never said he couldn't get a result here? I said they aren't good enough for MOST of these classics (meaniong uphill) with their climber out of form so their main goal is minimizing the damage to Cofidis.
Del Toro was scratched from this race, guessing that he could roll the shallow climbs OK but he doesn't have top end of the really good sprinters.

Maybe I missed something, but if teams like Uno-X have a quality old guy like Kristoff, why not test him around the neighborhood instead of all the travel to Malaysia.. Guy fits with lots of these races.. Oh well he got a rickshaw ride.
