Might be a bit awkward for Decathlon;
The guy they're losing beat the guy they're getting.
As long as Lund wins for them next year it won't matter. He won't become French champion though.

A race UAE didn’t win on brute strength and/or numbers, what a day to be alive!Beautiful race. I thought old school racing like this was dead
Just another transfer masterstroke from ineosGodon seems like the kind of rider you'd want to be keeping hold of
And Vendrame.Decathlon transfers period is just weird. Tronchon, Berthet and Godon gone as a French team when you have the money...
Yes, I do think your first post (quoted below) that I replied to does imply you think it being a bad thing and that you’re indicating that Uno-X just goes all out to stop Cofidis while in reality they put 1 or 2 guys on the front and saved their fastest riders (Hoelgaard and Løland) for the final. What Uno-X did today would be the right way to ride for result in this situation (0 riders in a front 12) even without the battle against Cofidis.
No, you can come on…Come on man....... They sprinter was fricking Hoelgaard, he's not winning this, he's not getting on the podium in a bunch sprint.
No, you can come on…
If they dont ride Hoelgaard would have no chance in the sprint for 13th. How is that better than chasing down the break and sprint to 8th????
The bolded part is what I have argued for the whole time…Keep believing their main goal here isn't just UCI points and the fight against Cofidis LOL. And yk what. They actually did a really good job today. Also because Cofidis sprinters suck once againt, but still.
Del Toro was scratched from this race, guessing that he could roll the shallow climbs OK but he doesn't have top end of the really good sprinters.In races with a worse field and one of them in a sprint. Again nothing to do with being able to make that front group or not. I never said he couldn't get a result here? I said they aren't good enough for MOST of these classics (meaniong uphill) with their climber out of form so their main goal is minimizing the damage to Cofidis.
i think it’s very, very simple:No it isn't better if Thomas would be 4th or something like that
Maybe I missed something, but if teams like Uno-X have a quality old guy like Kristoff, why not test him around the neighborhood instead of all the travel to Malaysia.. Guy fits with lots of these races.. Oh well he got a rickshaw ride.The bolded part is what I have argued for the whole time…
I literally wrote that the way they rode was the right thing to get result (and therefore points) and that its much better to be 8th in the sprint for 1st than being 8th in the sprint for 13th.
