Yes he did. MVP was holding on to his accellerations in the critical moments, could do nothing else, then played cat and mouse and Pogi fell for it. The win was astute but not praiseworthy.

MVP also made a brutal surge on of of the climbs. And it was only his credit the he managed to stay with Pogacar. As for the finish it was maybe cat and mouse but Pog had the whole wide road to pass him and start an earlier sprint. Actually I'm saying it as a Pog supporter.

Fine, but I only saw Pog making the race on the lase 3, 4 bergs. I just didn't like after all Pog had done to give them an advantage, for certainly it was not VDP's merit, the way it turned out under the circumstances.

I got fooled by Vollering setting what appeared to be a good Strava time on Koppenberg the other day.

VdBB attacking attacking at a good time, but Van Vleuten is closing her down with Kopecky barely hanging on.

Pog was the strongest on cobbles today, no doubts. But that's racing, the strongest doesn't always wins. Decelerating to pensioner's speed already hurt Pog's chances (given MVP's superb acceleration) but what happened afterwards was inexcusable.

I only see VDP hanging on to Pog on the last 3, 4 climbs. He made no brutal surge to pull Pog away with him, to the contrary. Pog should have pulled one last time in the end to make VDP be concerned about the others coming back from behind. That was Pog's only mistake, but the way VDP won was on astuteness not force.

Kopecky is the stronger sprinter. Not much AVV can do but try a longer sprint.

Mozzato 25th after being in the early breakaway, as a part of the group that was sprinting for the 15th place (and better than every EF rider).

I highly doubt he is but if he is upset with VDP then he needs to grow up, VDP did absolutely nothing wrong.

It keeps Van Vleuten from riding home solo, which might have happened otherwise because no one wanted to chase. Also in the last few races we've seen Trek killing every attack, this time the attackers will actually make it to the end.
