Great race. Pog's (lack of) tactics didn't really change the outcome (other than him finishing outside the podium, lol). VdP would have won the sprint no matter what, I believe.

I'm excited for the cobbled stage of the Tour, considering that both Pog and Rog have shown remarkable things on this terrain in their very first experiences.

I guess the jersey had to feature today. Sooner or later.
Kopecky at SD Worx is a good match.

Nice racing.

Unlike Strade, I had eyed Kopecky for this race after Koppenberg was announced, and both she and SD Worx delivered today.

He slowed down to force Pog to the front or, if not, let the others come back. Right tactic, but ugly style after Pog made all the difference for him before.

I took as Pog being annoyed at Van Baarle for moving in front of him to get to vdP's slipstream buy maybe he was mostly upset at himself.

Why is it an ugly style? Poga could have gone away if he wasnt happy with the approach. Each one used its strengths - Poga drilling on every hill and MvdP waiting for a short burst sprint.

I don't understand this. They both slowed it down equally.
In the end, Pogi himself has settled the matter, he is not mad. And I said Pogi made the mistake of not taking one last pull, but the great bluff is on VDP. Astute, yes, praiseworthy depends on how you like to see a race end.
