These races were so much more fun 5 years ago, now the same 2 teenagers win and compete for everything even without 'he who shall not be named' in attendance, pffffffffffff rip pro cycling

Don't be afraid to call Lord Pogimort by his name. Who's the second teenager though?

Cian did way better than Froome here. And like him, also going to a better team now. Witnessing greatness unfold.

And a strong ride from Philipsen. If you can get him and Thibau with Skjelmose and Ciccone in the hilly classics, some cards to play.

Best ever climbing performances in the 2024 Vuelta.

Strongest level ever in a spring stage race this year.

What did he do in 2023 that was better than that? Just San Luca?
I don't look only to numbers. He definitely looked better in the Vuelta 2023 than in the Vuelta 2024 IMO.

2 complete GT and fliying in the second with 34 years.... But they had tu give the race to Kuss.

Landa had a better climbing timen than Contador in the Tour last year. Landa isn't better than Contador. The climbing times improve every year. Roglic Vuelta 2023 was far superior than Roglic 2024.

No, climbing times don't improve every year.
The TDF climbing level was lower this year than the stratospheric 2024.

He looked bad towards Granada, but other than that he was more superior last year. Ancares and Moncalvillo were more superior than Angliru, even if you remove Vingegaard.

Exactly.
He was flying all the Vuelta 2023. In 2024 he had a very good day but the rest of the race wasn't as good as the previous year. And considering also that Vuelta 2023 was the second complete GT for a 34-year rider. His performance at Vuelta 2023 far superior than 2024.

Maybe Cian would have won if he would have got his Movistar mess sorted out. He does not want to, waste a win on Visma.
Why flatter Froome? Is this a new thing? I can't even remember the last time Froome was on the podium..2022? 21? ....? Don't remember.

Pidders really tired of being called the most overrated rider in the peloton on the Cyclingnews forum. Impressive last part of the season.

He had WT wins in 2022, 2023, and 2024.

He has no WT wins in 2025.

I think Cycling News forum members will continue to think he is overrated with the amount of gushing his fans are doing.

But ranking and points are far better 2025

Ironically, Pidcock probably lost today because he has been considered too good. If he had been in Del Toro´s wheel, accepting that he wasn't the favorite, he would have had a better chance in the sprint.

No Italian in the top 10 (Mexican flag does not count as Italian). Probably the first time that ever happened.

Really weird how they showed Leknessund coming in and we thought he was riding for 13th or something like that. It turns out he was 32nd...
