Oh but don't get me wrong. Cancellara is not nearly as arrogant as Tommeke Tommeke.

That guy is easily the most arrogant guy in the entire peloton after Ricco departed. Plus his tireless excuses after each race wear everybody out.

I haven't heard any excuses recently. Nor have I ever seen Boonen say the stuff cancellara said.

Cancellara: Hopelijk hebben jullie mayonaise mee
aantal renners: waarom?
Cancellara: Omdat ik jullie allemaal in de fritten ga rijden

^ He really said that. Seriously, how stupid can you sound lol.

@El Pistolero: That's something De Cauwer or Wuyts said as a joke during the race
Cancellara never said that himself...

God how thick are you  Or are you actually really stupid? I thought you were intelligent, but just a fanboy (for Gilbert and Boonen mainly) like me (for Gesink) or ACF (for Evans). But now you're just being another cobblestoned kind of figure

Apparently he really said that. It didn't sound like a joke because afterwars he said "that's not the smartest thing to say, but oh well"

Hopefully not as stupid as the autotranslate feature I used to (unsuccesfully) try to make sense of what he said.

Cancellara: Hopefully have your mayonnaises with number of racers: about which?
Cancellara: Because I ride go you all in the
fritten.

:D yeah, I couldn't really make sense of it as well.

I'm assuming it was a joke about Belgians eating french fries with mayonnaise instead of racing or so.

Damn it, that is too funny. I laughed hard.

well, there I said it: HTC rider Alex Rasmussen for the win!

I know he is not widely recognised (yet), but he is an extremely strong and talented rider. With the luck you need to do well in PR, I think he could do very well.:)

did you guys see the article on the CN front page?

I love Cancellara now even more. I want to have his adopted babies even.

I didn't particularly care for the comment about Nuyens, but otherwise, I appreciate his mental outlook. Maybe he can bottle it and sell it to Garmin-Cervelo.

No need to bend out of shape and get all emotional about it, it is just a bicycle's forum, not like real world or something.. :p

Well, that french fries, or Fritten issue - we say it here in German speaking countrys.
Obviously the Suisse know that too. :D

Riding someone in Fritten, means, riding someone "kaputt".
He, if he ever said that, actually means that he will ride everything/everone into pieces.
When something is damaged or broken, we also say "Alles in Fritten!"

Cancellara would need quite an advanced command of Dutch/Flemish to understand what that means, let alone use that expression himself.

If Belgium is famous for something it's mayonnaise with (French) Fries.

Well, dear Dicker Tifosi, you should know that it is compliment, when people like you don't like me and don't share my points. :D

Blame it on the weatherman.

I find it injustice when a guy defends everything his pretty little gems say (gilbert and boonen). And then says Cancellara said something, which he NEVER said. I mean, wtf...

Of course, but I don't think anyone outside of Belgium had ever heard of the expression "in de fritten rijden"... I know I didn't. And I'm quite fluent in Dutch.

I haven't heard of it as well. That's why I think it sounds so stupid, as if he thought of it him self :)

You should ask DT. He is the CN-officially-certified weatherman. :D

I will just say nothing, because if i am correct again, more and more people will put me on ignore. lol

I just followed the predictions from the news and the weather sites... they are the experts right? They get paid for it for god sake...

They, the weather forecast bureaus, predict dry weather. And seeing as how good the predictions were the last time, I expect a rainy hell.

Ugh. That sounds absolutely disgusting. Of course, as far as I'm concerned mayo should be banned worldwide as a toxic substance. :p

I was always a Canc fan but at some point last year it seemed all he ever did was irritate me and I was ready to root against him this year but after the last few weeks, I'm back to being a fan.
