It's Roubaix tonight and I have to work early tomorrow morning. It will be tough, but I must do this.

ok..I don't want to slog through the whole thread---does anyone have info on live video coverage in the US besides VERSUS?

I was on steephill.tv and looks like most is geo-restricted, but I'm pretty sure there must be something available. We usually can get a sporza or rai feed, but who has updated info?
THANKS !!

There should be streams aplenty here once the action starts, although if it's the commentary you find annoying, you probably won't be much happier with Romanian Eurosport either. ;)

He won´t be the team leader today. John and Jim ( sound like flower pot men - i digress) are too smart for that.

Ballen will destroy himself 80 - 40 km out from Roubaix to set up Hincapie or Quinziato and rip the field appart.

- So if gulity no bad press for BMC if he wins
- no points taken off the team.

that being said love to be a fly on the wall in the BMC team buss about now

Haven't read the whole thread, but the "Ballan thing" you're talking about, is that the old Lampre case that is getting new life in the medias these days? Or have I missed something new?

Seems to me the old case was sorted out last Spring, where a.o. Ballan and Santambrogio got temperarily suspended by BMC during the investigation/questioning of riders. Why bring that up again, is there anything new?

Reg. the race it self, I (as many else) find it hard to overlook Cancellara. Boonen WILL be the only one MAYBE being able to follow him, baring accidents of course.

"Surprise" ride expected from Baden Cooke and Daniel Oss.

Can somebody explain why some Spaniards have four names? Is one a patronymic?

Flecha for the win.
Leukemans
Boonen

Cancellara with a critical mechanical that takes him out of it.

This completely ignores the fact that there is a 41% percent probability that an Australian will win.

Prognostication is pretty uncertain for this race.

But we can rest assured that no French rider will win.

Or American.

10 km done, nothing to see here, just some tries.

Mr Buts just realized it's Roubaix and he doesn't like cobbles. :D

Normally, a first name, a middle name and two last names. The two last names are one from the father and the other from the mother. So, for example, Luis León Sánchéz Gil. Luis is the first name, León is the middle name, Sánchez is the last name inherited from his father and Gil is the last name inherited from his mother.

Patronymics aren't used in spanish since more than a century ago. Before that, a guy whose father's first name was Gonzalo would get González as his last name. That way, a lot of last names in current spanish where formed as patronymics, but nowadays last names are inherited directly from the parents' last name.

Why not ?
Because of some peer pressure by clinic guys ? You have to withstand and form your own opinion.
Old stuff warmed up and either you like him or not.
Even if he is found guilty in around....5-10 years he needs your support then.

They just came out with the story now to make sure that German media do some reports about Roubaix. :D

I think we finally have a group now with 210 km to go:

Bradley Wiggins (Team Sky)
Marco Bandiera (Quick Step)
Anthony Ravard (Ag2r)
Mirko Selvaggi (Vacansoleil-DCM)
Bert De Backer (Skil-Shimano)
Luis Pasamontes (Movistar)

Have a good ride ! :D

Average speed 46,3 km/h
