GVA is now at par with Sagan's palmares
1 ORR

6 Classics
3 GT Stages
1 Vuelta points classifications
1 WT Stage race
vs
2 WCRR
1 Monument
7 Classics
11 GT Stages
5 Tour points classifications
1 WT Stage race

I don't think it's even that close, and it's not GVA who has the better palmares.

GVA also won T-A.

Nvm: you included it. But what WT stage race did Sagan win?

Greipel top 10. What the f**k?

I'm actually surprised it took him this long. He's always good in the cobbled races, just does his stuff in the wrong moments and is usually nowhere to be seen in the end, but he's great.

Great ride from the tractor. Pathetic again from Stannard.

Skyfail apart from Moscon. I wouldn't be surprised if he had to work for Rowe and Standard earlier knowing Sky
Exactly this. You could already saw in the Omloop Moscon was very strong, but he had to pull for kms for their english honeys.

Sagan was strongest rider in the race and reckon he'd have won from 75k out if it wasn't for that puncture as he had Bodnar with him
This kind of post is why I wanted to highlight Naesen's and GVA's achievements earlier in the race. Before their phenomenal rides are lost in the sway of alternative facts from the myopic Saganists.

ToC. Isn't it WT? Of course you can argue that TA is worth more than ToC, but you have to look at the circumstances, GVA shouldn't have won that TA.

Poland 2010. The bastardised Tirreno-adriatico last year counts as a half win

This, you can be mad at them for having Moscon working for Rowe in the RVV, when Moscon was way stronger before crashing out in G-W, but this time they allowed him to ride his own race.

Brilliant ride by GVA given all the chasing on he had to do due to mechanicals/crashes. Fully deserved winner!

Gutsy ride by Moscon! Inexperience meant he done more work than perhaps he should at times, but one for the future.

Pleased to see Langeveld get himself on the podium too.

Belgium is definitely going to win the country ranking this year lol.

Omloop, Dwars door Vlaanderen, E3 Harelbeke, G-W, RvV and Paris-Roubaix. Not to mention second in Strade Bianche.

But can you keep that consistency in the second half of the season? I think not.

Great rides by by GVA and Langeveld. Oss was also great. Stybar could not have played it much better but not good enough.

Sagan just has too many lows during a race this year. He's not on the same level as last year.

He was really strong in the beginning of the season, but his form gets worse and worse really

Yep, would've been really nice to see him win.

Pretty dull race I thought, dunno why, just didn't excite me.

P-R : A cursed race for Sagan?

2015: Puncture in final kms
2016: Caught behind a crash with Cancellara
2017: Two punctures at key moments

I'd also like to point (again) that, however great GVA'0s comeback was, given he found himself so far back, he took a really long tow from his team car. I didn't see the same with Sagan.

Stybar got too impatient. GvA masterfully rode that last 250m.

Me, personally, Stybar deserved last in his group for all that negative racing.
