Ah real ciclismo for one.

Sadly good weather this time but Visma and Trek will try to make it a hard race just as last year. A good De Lie probably also wants to entertain, but not sure if he's recovered perfectly from his sickness.

less predictable wrt the outcome than what we had the last couple of weeks.
I sort of feel the same about it, and yet, with one rider being SO dominant throughout the season, I can't help thinking of races like this one as a 2nd division event. Sad, since it used to be one of the better one day races of the year (not least because it has been shown on TV here for decades).

I always enjoy this race. So much better since they put the vineyard roads in. Makes a nice antidote to Lombardia.
I really liked it BEFORE they put the vineyard roads in. The last couple of editions before the change were some great racing.

Looking much forward to seeing some actual bike racing. The only one worth watching this weekend.

Would have been nice to see the race now. I guess there's a bit of wind with the reports of splits in the peloton.

Yeah it's cause they are well ahead of schedule. 50km/u average... but live should be starting now, just before first sector (if they don't do like 20 min of prep).

Just here to remark that I cannot believe how this race has been downgraded over the past decade or so and how even Cyclingnews is devoting its live ticker to gravel racing over it. Unbelievable. It's a century-plusold Classic with a storied history and innumerable legends who have won it, and it's now a 1. race placed on the same weekend as Lombardia and is treated as an afterthought by the cycling press. Gravel racing...gravel racing...is given the headline this morning.
