The finish was moved away from the usual Avenue de Grammont, so there are now 2k less from the bumpy part to the line.

There's been no rain in a week, and a tailwind is forecast for the final ~60k. Should be very fast and hectic.

Sadly good weather this time but Visma and Trek will try to make it a hard race just as last year. A good De Lie probably also wants to entertain, but not sure if he's recovered perfectly from his sickness.

I always enjoy this race. So much better since they put the vineyard roads in. Makes a nice antidote to Lombardia.

Stoked about this race as this one has the potential to be close / less predictable wrt the outcome than what we had the last couple of weeks.

I sort of feel the same about it, and yet, with one rider being SO dominant throughout the season, I can't help thinking of races like this one as a 2nd division event. Sad, since it used to be one of the better one day races of the year (not least because it has been shown on TV here for decades).

I really liked it BEFORE they put the vineyard roads in. The last couple of editions before the change were some great racing.

aren't ~two hours about right for this race? If they don't start super fast, we should get to see all the action.
