For our Dutch friends, de Maar finished 14th, (ahead of Floyd and his Lanceness).

Can we have an update on the Tommy D Classification?

Stages with climbing finishes don't really count for Tommy D. ratings; that is the one thing he can occasionally do well at. The best stages to rate require tactical savvy, bike handling, and general toughness. I think we can get a good rating by the end of the race, but with only six ProTour riders I don't think it will mean much.

We may have to add a rule that says the TD rating is only applicable to races in Europe.

Great to see Ben King (US) riding so well this year!! Top 20 in U23 LBL...and bringing in good form to Gila. This is a young rider who is coming a long very well.

It's all about Levi...

Levi Leipheimer (Mellow Johnny’s) hasn’t lost any form over the last year, which he proved as he took a second consecutive and equally convincing victory atop the steep Mogollon ascent.

I say it's weird because usually they can't wait to mention him, regardless of whether he was in the action or not, in any update about any race. I figured given that he is by far the biggest name in the race that he would warrant a mention (based on the prevailing standard). Weird and frankly refreshing.

Who wrote that? I was there at the finish. You can even see the results. Levi won by maybe 10 seconds, while he won by 49 last year. There are quite a few riders within striking distance.

I don't think Lance's result is much to worry about. He was 1:40 down last year, though he finished 7th then.

Levi looked strong though. I don't think he did any more than he had to do today. He's saving it for the TT and the final day.

But last year the excuse was that he was just coming back from his broken collarbone.

Yeah, and when guys like De Maar, who just comes back from an injury and, except for Bisbee, didn't ride for 1 month, are instantly better than Lance, there is something wrong.

Who cares about De Maar. Seriously. The result is pretty bad by Lance and it's starting to look little worrisome

Yes, we are all awaiting the Festivus Miracle which will take place in July.

As for the ritual ceremonies pertaining to this holiday, Armstrong has already completed "the airing of grievances" via Twitter. Now come the "Feats of Strength"...

Does Armstrong remind you of the Strongman character Zampano played by Anthony Quinn in the 1954 Fellini film La Strada?

For many here I'm afraid its always going to be late and they'll never grasp the real reason why LA is riding this year. Makes some entertaining copy though and some a lot of money.

Those girls look like the Russian brides they offer you in emails all the time. Maybe Levi bought two of them?
