It goes without saying that Contador really is in a class of his own, unless catastrophe strikes him in July I don't see how he will be defeated. How do you beat someone that can climb and time trial better than the rest of the GC?

Ok. From the profile it seems a bit step for a sprinter, but the profiles for this race aren't the best. Still would like to see JB take a shot at making podium.

I can only imagine the excitement of a mano-a-mano duel between Menchov and Leipheimer. They'd just ride around in circles trying to follow each other's wheels.

I used to not like him at all, but I think he's the only guy who has any (slim) chance of beating AC, so I want him to win now

I used to avoid being a fan of any dirty riders, but then I have no-one to support for GC.

So, come on Menchov, Euskaltel, any French team or rider, Philippe Gilbert, and also Liquigas!

The text for the last 3 kilometers on the official website says the stage finishes with a straight 700 meter rise, 6 meters wide. It doesn't say how steep.

i never could figure out his personality. is he shy or sneaky or both ? the can ride and is very talented but he just does not look happy being interviewed.

yeah and same about menchov with interviews. I guess certain riders have no idea they are public figures and the reason they do this as a profession is the people watching at home.

Definitely not sneaky. He is quite a kind and a humble person. I am not a fan of him, personally, but I respect his talent and his attitude to what he does.
