Looks a bit disappointing for Armstrong. He did talk down his chances though.

Needs to tweek that position some more!

wiggins/armstrong itt score since the texas un retirement

3/0. dim will find a lifeline/feed off that :D

Measuring against Armstrong's ITT is a pretty low bar of achievement.

This stage looks like it rises 50 meters in 11 km. Against Contador both would get killed if there was more than a speed bump in the course.

I know that this was only his second race of the season and first TT, but one would think that several months of training would make you more prepared for a TT than say a mountain-top finish. Should we expect a rider like Armstrong to drastically improve his TT by July to allow him to take chunks of time out of his rivals?

By the way, someone commented on Dave Zabriskie who I like, but I personally feel is overrated as a time trialist. He wins the US jersey each year, but never seems to show anything in big reasons over in Europe, so how can you be that surprised that he didn't really contend again.

Just goes to show how low the standard in the US is at the moment.

are you saying texas has something to learn..like his position on the bike:)

agree if the best tterwere in murcia today it would likely be armstrongs tdf spot (between 10th and 16)

Well he does have a massive dolphin hump on his back that slows him down. He should really get a handicap time for that. :D

Oh, come on. Testing yourself against triathletes while on vacation in Hawaii should be more than enough training. :p

If he cannot do well in a dead flat ITT then he is screwed when it comes to climbing.

Well Jufre just came in behind Lance (+3). So either Jufre is going really well or Lance isn't.
