Did i mention Tony? Did i diss anyone? Just said that overrated little Phinney boy won't have a chance to win it
Now I really do hope that Phinney beats Tony Martin's azz in the prologue. Just because.

Well actually not impossible, Tony is coming off a long break so it's possible that his Diesel might not be running on full steam for those 5km. I doubt he'll be slower then Phinne, but it's not impossible.
However, he'll beat Phinney by at least 1:30 in the TT, you can take this to the bank.

Well i have two solid explanations for the two wrong letters. What more do you want?
T is just right above F and Y/I is very interchangeable in names.

Two funny coincidences in the same word, coupled with a sentence like "Just said that overrated little Phinney boy won't have a chance to win it" (when in your previous post you were talking about a top 10). The evidence is against you, buddy.

Anyway, back to the prologue...

Apart from the Tony vs. Taylor debate, who else may be in the mix... say top 10?

Wiggins should be the clear favorit. Zabriskie should be up there too

Yep, Bert Brabsch too,

How about some 'sprinter types'? Tyler Farrar/John Degenkolb for example?

After that cat 4 climb, is there a downhill to the finish line, pr does it stay roughly on the same height? Anyone knows it? They don't have a profile:mad:

Nah grabsch not. Too short and the hill is killing him anyway.
I think it's a bit too long for the sprinters with that climb

And how technical is the descent? If it is some TT specialists / GT riders will lose time because some of them prefer straight roads

Obviously Boom will win it.

Actually maybe not, with about 3km of straight road split into two.

Still has to be favourite though.

Boom has had knee troubles, he's just resumed training this weekend, so if he wins the prologue it would be a bit of a surprise.

Bavarianrider, look up Boom's palmares before you ask such stupid questions.

Its a tough one to decide but given the current form of Wiggins and Dave Z its hard to look between the two of them.

Has Boom ever proofen something against the big dogs?

Paris-Nice last year, Qatar and the Tirreno ITT this year.

He's probably the best "prologue specialist" going around, if you can call him that. Zabriskie for example is not suited to most prologues thus is unlikely to be at the top, even though he's had good results recently.

Help me out? Did he ever win a time trial against the likes of Cancellara, Wiggins, or Tony when there were in shape?
Ok he finished in 3rd ahead of Tony in the prologue in the 2010 Eneco Tour. But that was a ver very technical course and not comparable to the Dauphine prologue at all

I put it to you that a prologue and a TT are different same bike but different riders can do well in a prologue yet very badly in a long TT.

Boom finihsed in 32 at the Tour prologue last year.

Winning in spring doesn't mean you can win against the big boys in June/July when they are at their best.

Yeah, Cancellara was obviously out of form in the final Tirreno TT...

You have to follow Lars Boom a bit (which you obviously don't) to know how to rate his results. When he doesn't have it, he usually fails big time.

Wow that is a seriously *** question

Paris - Nice, Prologue : Montfort-l’Amaury I.T.T. (8 km)
1. [NED] BOOM Lars RAB 10'56" 40
2. [GER] VOIGT Jens SAX 03" 25
3. [USA] LEIPHEIMER Levi RSH 06" 15
4. [ESP] CONTADOR VELASCO Alberto AST 06" 10
5. [SVK] SAGAN Peter LIQ 10"

Tour of Qatar, Prologue : Doha I.T.T. (2.5 km)
1. [NED] BOOM Lars RAB 03'07" 20
2. [SUI] CANCELLARA Fabian LEO 04" 10
3. [NED] VEELERS Tom SKS 05" 5
4. [ESP] FLECHA GIANNONI Juan Antonio SKY 05" 3
5. [GBR] DOWSETT Alex SKY 06" 0

Tirreno - Adriatico, Stage 7 : San Benedetto del Tronto I.T.T. (9.3 km)

1. [SUI] CANCELLARA Fabian LEO 10'33" 40
2. [NED] BOOM Lars RAB 09" 25
3. [ITA] MALORI Adriano LAM 19" 15
4. [NED] FLENS Rick RAB 20" 10
5. [GER] GRABSCH Bert THR 22" 5

How is it even remotely possible you missed that?
Plus picking Tour results as only 'proof' is seriously dumb.

Do you also say Contador is a bad GT-rider because he finished the Tour in 2005 as 31th???
Seriously...omg

Or wait, even better. Maybe I should say Tony Martin is not a good gt-rider, since he hasn't done a good classification in the Tour de France

All i say is that Boom has yet to proof that he can win TT against top competition after March. Which i doubt he can.
