Hope they let the riders know what time they are off. I have been checking all day for times and with only a couple of hours to go till the start I am a little annoyed as well. I am picking Boom for the win over Wiggins and Evans to take the overall. But please Cadel, don't get carried away and over race. You have bigger fish to fry next month.

A very strong field so it's hard to predict who will win. A small ****up during a prologue can cost you a few seconds and it all comes down to seconds.

I'll be rooting for Boom, but he's just coming back from an injury so if he won that would be really surprising. With riders like Wiggo, Thomas, Zabriskie, Martin and many more it's impossible to say who will win, but I´m going with 1 of the 5 I´ve mentioned so far.

the start times were given yesterday evening. The result today could be influenced by those start times as the weather forecast is showers. It seems to be raining there at the moment.

Certainly does look wet

The fact that it is already wet may favour the later starters as it may dry up a bit by then.

So who out of this lot can ride a TT bike really well in the rain... maybe Boom with his CX experience?

Wouldn't put money on him seeing as his form is questionable. He just came off an injury and has not had proper training. I'd say Wiggo or Martin.

rodriguez might actually get caught by Thomas :p

I have to defend Purito a bit here :D

40 Joaquím Rodríguez Oliver (Spa) Katusha Team 0:02:14

That was in the last Giro time trial. It seems he has improved his TT a bit and he also thinks so himself allthough he wanted to confirm that in the Grenoble TT.
I also think Purito was getting better and better in the Giro so his form was probably very good during that TT.

Rodriguez started the Giro on anti-biotics, which is also why he was bad in the first couple of mountain stages (or not his normal level).

If he didn't get sick he'd probably have been a podium threat

might mean that some of the favourites for the overall might not be prepared to take any risks, leaving it open for a rider who is

Pretty good prologue by Rodriguez  only losing 11 seconds to Tjallingii and 4 to Zabriskie
Anyway, we can scrap Thomas for a prologue win already ;)

Joaquim can limit his losses pretty well in short prologues such as this, specially with a 'climb' in it.
