i heard its almost departed a couple hours ago but then it was delayed due to hurricane martin hitting the area. but from the looks of it hurricane martin is leaving and good weather is coming so the pinot wagon is ready to departure.

anyway who is this kid? being 21 he still is very young. is he the next in line to be crushed by the french media crushing machine?

King of the Mountains, Tour de Romandie 2010? Kid's had talent for a while.

it was not directed to you, but to the whole forum: you just sayd something that can be true for Gesink but either for Martin :D

You are confusing which Martin is being criticized it's the second coming of Christ Martin that lives in bavarianen's world that is being criticized not the one living in our world ;)

Winning the Giro della Valle d'Aosta in 2009 made me follow his progress.

Talent is something you're born with, so I'm guessing he's had it for over 21 years.

Not had chance to see any of today's stage yet - I guess there was no time for a quick jersey zip-up...

pinot is by far the greatest talent in french cycling, maybe better than sicard too.
he is very good in the mountains, especially he is waited to do well in long climbs too.
there is a lot of expectations for him in france, also a lot of discussion wheter fdj is the best team to grow such a skilly rider.
go have a look at veloclub du net and you will see how big the expectations are for him and coppel
i hope he peaks in the dauphinee and then vuelta , no tour.

but he wants to ride the tour.

france has some young talent coming: pinot, sicard and also geniez makes a good generation of ct rider

He came second. And people were saying this wasn't steep enough for him.

No one would have predicted VDB2 to win here. So yeah, it was a good prediction. I was expecting something from Jrod here.

That's a lame excuse. Just say you aren't good enough and get it over with. You dont see Basso, Sammy or another high profile rider saying they relaxed.
Neither does Gesink. Learn to read, aspiring troll.

I personally believe FdJ is a great team for young riders.

i know what you wrote. i am just taking things a step further.

you are saying he can climb and as prof you are giving us results like the finish at the mighty HC climb that is the alto do malhão. . . .

you see what i mean?

so what is the alto de malhao?? a downhil?

he is just trying to say martin can climb and has potential to show and we will see this tour.

The worst team? That's just plain untrue. I've always perceived it as a team were young riders get the chance to ride for themselves.

I'm most impressed by VDB2 win today:) glad to see him getting a long time overdue stage victory. Hopefully this new achievement will bring the best of him in the Tour.
