Hoperfully cadel and BMC have learnt their lesson from today and will be cautious going into the Cap Frehel stage at le tour as that could really split the field.

the point being that they thought Degenkolb couldn't handle such a finish AT ALL. ;)

Yes because we all know everything about Degenkolb as he's been on the scene for years, doing a variety of finishes against the best all live on television.

Mine was a genuine query, not a presumption that he was not good enough.

I hope Degenkolb can race the Vuelta this yr. Nice work. Love how everyone hyped up Gesink ( 2:29 ) and Martin ( 10:31 ). Gesink i can understand, finetuning for the TDF but Martin said he wanted to prove he had climbing legs.

You just answered your question yourself.

If some enduranceless, climbing worse than quaranta, sprinter can beat Cavendish, then...all hope is lost for Hagen!thanks for taking the bait tho

I assume you missed (or skipped over?) the part where he flatted and blew up his rear wheel, when making your assessment...

EBH hit a hole in the road with 15k to go. Got a flat front tire and a busted rear wheel.
