Martens the only decent Rabo today.

They are not going to figure in the GC clearly, with LL Sanchez blowing it today

Perhaps saving up to try something in the mountain stages this weekend. I'm concerned about Lulu though.

I don't know where I read it, but I remember Vino saying he was going for stage wins and a yellow jersey(but has no hopes of bringing it home to Paris).
The Dutch Eurosport guys (who are doing a very good job actually) were saying his yesterday.
Seems like a more realistic goal than aiming for a GC...

Thought BMC would have wanted morabito to go for the GC too but really think he should have gone to suisse where there are not much contenders for the GC and its his home race. Plus he would have been the sole GC leader of BMC. But yes he has one heck of a job for cadel in the mountains.

I assume a lot of it has to do with the tour prep. Dauphine is a kinder race in terms of tour prep. They are making sure cadel has fresh strong servants come july.

Yeah. Thought he would have like to race in his home race. So far morabito, santamorita, moinard havent proven themselves as good domestiques in the mountains. They will get a chance to do so this weekend. Even quinziato and schar have been doing a better job.

Once again, Lulu had a flat. Or at least, that's what D. Nelissen said.

So, tomorrows TT... Boassan Hagen improving, Martin looking a little off form... who will be faster?

Also, with a good TT, can Boasson Hagen sneak into the top 10?

No, he will have the best time but a few meters before the line he will be kidnapped by aliens.

The point being that Degenkolb is obviously better than Edvald on such a finish because EBH punctured?
the point being that they thought Degenkolb couldn't handle such a finish AT ALL. ;)

Besides, Degenkolb is faster than Hagen. I'm pretty sure he'd won even if EBH was there

Missed the stage, but seems like J-rod was up there with the best at least.

Was it a hard pace to the beginning of the climb and did Rodriguez handle it well? Some doubted that he could hold on to his position if that was the case.

Degenkolb, Gilbert, Rodriguez to duke it out for stage 1 of le Tour?

Ebh probably would have started going with tommy v anyway and died 500 m from the finish

Me too. Clearly Degenkolb is faster than EBH.
The only question was would he survive the "ramp" and he did.

As to Tony Martin: If he turns up and blasts the ITT, I will be very disappointed.
Soft tapping, just to win a stage in a discipline in which he has little to prove, will do nothing to improve his GC credibilty.
I'd much prefer him to soft tap and turn up on the weekend, to show us whether he can climb with the best....................or not.
