That doesn't justify why it should be in a GT.

If your team wouldn't suck in that discipline, you would recognize all the beauty that brings TTT with it.
A synchronous and beautiful rotating unit, gliding along the road in high speed.
wosh wosh wosh wosh
Beauty - thats reason enough. ;)

That is a totally invalid. I like watching a ttt. It is a great spectacle. because not many of my favourite riders are competing in the giro, I am not overly fussed by who does what. Beautiful does not = justification of it.

Supposedly the ttt is not overly picturesque. According to GW, it is quite ugly.

It is also an individual sport. It doesn't change the fact that a team event shouldn't be apart of an individual time classification. You want the best tactical, smartest and strongest rider to win. A gc rider shouldn't be hampered by his team in an event which he has little control over.

Anyway, lets not ramble on about the validity of ttt's, lets talk about today's race.
The fact the TTT is not that long, and it's a the beginning of the race, makes for great strategy for the rest of the race.
Man, you're so full of contradictions.

tts arent bad but as the 4th or 5th stage. The first stage should be a prologue. They show us early who the strong riders are and allow those who have some Ardennes form to maybe get some time.

Also the jersey wearer deserves it more and it allows time trialists to put time into climbers.

And it brings out the crowds big time.

i wonder if these quick lead changes are really the best way to ride a TTT, the more changes the more time the riders spend on the sides and not in the slipstream

Looks like the crowds are out big time anyway.

Brian Smith (Eurosport commentator) makes the point that the big teams have an unfair advantage with the TTT. The smaller teams cannot afford to put their riders through wind tunnel testing etc.
Thinks they shouldn't be in a GT, or at least done on raod bikes.

Ah! we have the Killer.......

So what, if you want to win a GT and think you can, don't sign with a ****ty team then.
