Contador attacked, Andy followed. Then Fränk jumped as well. Evans closed the gap. Voeckler looked done but made the jump a bit later on.

Then Fränk either got dropped or more likely let himself fall back into the peleton. Alberto kept pushing the pace, eventually Voeckler got dropped and Evans did as well either due to a mechanical or him cracking there's disagreement about that part.

Edit: And Contador has just become the 3rd favourite GT rider for both me and Jobiwan ;). Go Schleck though :p
no there is no disagreement

Tried to fix the bike himself twice then gets a new one

Anyone who disagree isnt thinking or is s-stirring.....I will be kind and say its option a

needs to have a kickass decent right now

I agree. He would be more valuable in the front group with Andy.

He just could stay there. Same as Cuddles who faked a mechanical.

Yeah, he sure did.

Hopefully this has only been part I of today's action. There is a long way to go and several different ways this can turn out. We should stop declaring winners, losers and legends just yet. I still think the TT will ultimately have a lot to say in this race.

I think based on what he's done today Alberto is a legend regardless of what happens in the end he can have a monumental implosion and his effort will still have been legendary.

Also I don't get what Voeckler is doing trying to close the gap all on his own he has to crack sometime soon.

Cuddles back in the main group. Should let Liqui ride now. Save himself. No way to catch back up on his own.

He is going to let yellow in Paris go up the road if he lets others ride for him. He needs to be driving it with the others taking their turn when they can. Evans shouldn't rely on others to do the work for him.

After yesterday I thought we were done with pointless mean-spirited Evans bashing, but I guess I was wrong. Of course he didn't fake a damn mechanical, he changed bikes.
