Eyeballs - they have displayed that they are both on their own - Greipel will not lead PG and vice versa

I think Greipel's mojo will have been really hurt with the flat stage last week - he went for that with everything. . . .

So assuming this finishes in a bunch sprint with all the sprinters including Cavendish in there ... if you're Omega Pharma Lotto .... do you have Greipel leading out Gilbert or do you let Greipel do his own sprint ?

Personally I'd let Greipel do his own thing

If Greipel thinks he can win then lead out Greipel and let Gilbert do his own thing.

Hushovd right at the back of the bunch, either he is looking for the team car or defending yellow for so long really took it out of him.

If Cavendish is up there in the end it could be a pointless question, but I think Greipel is the better bet.

I don't think it's pointless regarding the points jersey

If a Cav win is a certainty then it's better for Greipel to lead out (and finish behind) Gilbert. But if Greipel can win the stage then that takes 10+ points away from Cavendish (plus of course it's a win for the team)

He's been there all day as far as I could see.

Right, I didn't think about the points jersey. Interesting tactical question, I agree.

I hope OPL kill the peloton on the final hill for what it's worth. Can't understand why any team is helping HTC right now. They're going to smoke you guys in the final 5 km, when will you idiots learn it? Must be an easy job being team leader.

Glad HTC will stop to exist after this, they're just too strong and no one can even get close to Cav's wheel in the final km. Even a mediocre sprinter would win the stage if they had the same train(and Cav not being there)

Well Greipel is capable of beating Cav, especially if Cavendish is tired but I think the Green jersey has become priority one for OPL which would mean going with Gilbert.

Yeah. Frankly that is putting a little too much faith in greipel to be able to beat cav. I don't think he can so better to have Gilbert do as much as he can

Ligget going on about its between Thomas and Swift for Sky as their go-to rider? Surely It has to be Hagen.

Might put Eurosport back on and get some sanity back.

OPL is not strong enough anymore to set a strong pace on the last hill... I predict a solo of Gilbert!
