Interesting, both Bruyneel and Riis saying that Evans will be in yellow tonight. Not sure about Bruyneel but I doubt Riis really believes Frank and Andy can't take 3 and 11 seconds respectively on Evans.

Yeah, I would interpret that as trying to goad Andy into being more aggressive than is good for him.

For what do Evans fans have to be nervous? Worst case scenario he drops a minute.
And that's the worst case scenario

Try to be a Gesink fan and have no idea how he will go after his back injury. It's agonizing as hell. If it goes well a party, if it goes bad it's a disaster and we'll talk about Vuelta plans already

Good point. Guess I should be happy that Evans is still in the race given what has gone on so far.

Contador says that he needs to respond to every contender, and that it's a moment to take time. The Pyrenees are important for the Spanish riders, a lot of fans, and he'll be motivated.

I guess maybe TVG there's no-one else who's talent/age right now indicates he could be as good as AS

^^now thats pure comedy.

His best win is that stage win at the Tour Down Under.

said by contador himself. he also said that he only has 4 trophies on his living room, the giro, the tour and the vuelta trophies and the tour down under stage trophie.

July has been a cadel fanboy nightmare, even without ACF's input.

Monfort said this morning that they will attack and put Frank and Andy in the right position for Luz Ardiden.

Lars Bak or Danny Pate could do the work of 20 Europcar riders. They're wasting their time as they dont have the horsepower.

Its not like the break is going quick either.

ugh :faceplam: of couse europcar aren't pursuiting. they are just riding on the froint of the peloton, if they would want to they could go much faster

It'll probably be evans best showing of the 4 mtfs.

I suspect he will lose between 30 sens and 1 minute.
I said the other day I expect 2-3 minutes in the pyrenees. But That is more attributed to Plateau de Beille.

Yes it's absolute hell trying to be a fan of the most dominant GT rider of the last 4 years who has won the last 6 GT's he's entered. Almost as hard as it was to be a Schumacher fan in 2005 when he didn't win the world championship for the first time in 6 years.

I hope evans and BMC unleash all hell on the poor leopard and saxo souls:D. however gotta be realistic. if the schlecks or contador put in attack evans wont be able to follow. however if he wins it will make the victory much sweeter.

It was really hell in the last 1 year with the doping case, chain gate and what not.

I might feel a bit sorry for him if he has to limp up three climbs today. Will be a bit like watching a puppy with a sore paw.
I agree though that he will win the stage.:(

Pfft I had to come up with someone. He's the only one who has shown anything in a GC who's significantly younger then AS. True the odds of it happening are about 1 in 1000 but he still has a better chance of any of the guys who are Andy's age.

His team is designed to give him more help in the mountains not sure it will happen though!!

It won't. I can't wait to see this epic fail unfold. Whether it's tonight or another day, it is still going to happen. Popcorn ready for when it does.

don't dope if you can't cope.

sorry I just had an Eminem moment :D

Anyway he has a giro, he has that to fall back on.
Gesink really put a big season focus on this race, so he is on the course for massive failure if the injuries succumb him.
