Why would he need somebody with him for that? He could just ride with the other riders that were dropped (some Rabobank guys as well)
 
A pity for Gesink.

Top 10 contenders Hincapie and Van Garderen out of the back, too. The second best climber in the world would have conquered Mount Tourmalet with ease, methinks. On a more serious note, Fuglsang jour sans, a little surprising.
 
what I don't get - leopard is using almost everybody already now to Tourmalet.
so both Schlecks must be pretty sure that they can make it on their own up to Luz Ardiden.

let's see if this really works out as planned
