Too me that is a sign that is about to abandon. If he felt he had any chance at all to recover and maybe take a stage in the Alps then he would someone stay with him.

Why would he need somebody with him for that? He could just ride with the other riders that were dropped (some Rabobank guys as well)

what I don't get - leopard is using almost everybody already now to Tourmalet.
so both Schlecks must be pretty sure that they can make it on their own up to Luz Ardiden.
