Surely Candy Schleck is too proud to not launch a proper attack on Sestrieres, right?

There's a descent afterwards, which shouldn't be used AT ALL during the Tour. (His words, not mine!)

So no attack. He'll just try to hang on for dear life until he gets back to the MTF's, the only place he can get back time lost.

According to climbbybike this is the last climb.

And I think this is the descent

A very stop start climb, the steep bits are going to be very testing and a very quick descent, about 4 and a half kilometers at over 10% average.
the last climb is a leg breaking with those drastic changes in pitch-Basso won't like it for sure--too bad the last km are too flattish to make a good gap...

bad time for whining andy, seriously he even did il giro he knows those conditions are for everybody else.now the others had found a weak spot.the great one will attack once again, evans will be there.and yeah breakaway for the win.

Considering "that Sanchez" (since you dont seem to have heard of him) has proven himself to be a way better climber than Evans over the last few years, including in this Tour, if Sanchez gets dropped then that means Evans will have likely gotten dropped too:rolleyes:

I think you got it wrong. He meant I hope THAT he is dropped.:p

base on today's events, I foresee more attacks-YES-perhaps Gilbert will give it a go- & then IF Contador feels good again-he won't hesitate to spice things up on the last climb too- now the tour got more exciting for sure!!!:D

Sorry chaps, BAD NEWS, Cancellara has spoken to ASO and this stage is off, far to dangerous for riders.

she said she thinks that evans can keep up with a contador on 90% of his giro form on the climbs. obviously she didn't watch the giro were contador dropped guys that put minutes into evans on last years giro, like if they were stones. but let me guess. evans wasn't on form on last years giro. . . . no no no he was riding with a few broken bones. . . . no no he didn't have a good team supporting him. . . .

Evans only lost time on Mortirolo. Other than that no one put minutes into him in the Giro. He actually put time into them, on Zoncolan, Plan de Corones and Passo del Tonale.

Actually he complained about it yesterday already. He said he'd seen the descent with the team a couple of times and that it's too dangerous and he hopes ASO will cancel it.

HAHAHA, seems Andy is in the wrong job, maybe he should go and work in a factory or bakery.

too dangerous

evans lost 3 minutes on the mortirolo stage he was also dropped on the monte grappa stage nibali won but was able to get back on the descent. on the last stage no1 bothered following him because he simply wasn't a threat. besides they all finished ahead of evans so from where i stand they put minutes into him.

He was dropped for about 5 seconds on the stage Nibali won. My point was Evans is definitely not far off the level of the riders Contador was toying with in the Giro.
