No one has enough legs to chase, or simply are riding in disbelief.

I don't see why Contador or Evans wouldn't have the legs. It seems like they didn't push very hard on the previous climb.

No idea. It's baffling. Good for Andy for making it one hell of an exciting stage though.

Evans can't do much here. He can't chase on his own or he'll blow at the top and not even finish the tour with a podium spot. He's got no team to pull for him. And the wind makes attacking to form a smaller group that might cooperate to gap another rider that didn't come along impossible.

He's got to just ride for second now, and hope that maybe he gets lucky and something happens to Andy tomorrow.

Look at the gradient maps, Andy had hit a KM with an average of 7.7% Peloton was still on a false flat gradient about 4-5%
