Why did Vanendert not ride with Voeckler when he was in that position, he could have done a better work for Gilbert in the peloton?

OPL had a nice team spirit when Gilbert won the first stage but since then it's attacking own team mates, riding at wrong paces and not cooperating..

Interesting to me is the fact that Contador could not close to VDB when he attacked. He looked to be trying, and couldn't close the gap. Happily, it appears that the GC in the tour is wide open.

I believe Contador was too sharp for the Giro, and it is my suspicion that he doesn't have the legs to win right now.

Goss needs to check for skids in his nicks...lost position a few times there in the lead up. Ended up having to go front way too far back.

Does that put Rojas in green then?

I think he took 1 or 2 pts over Gilbert in the intermediate sprint and he finished one spot before Gilbert at the end, so 2-3 pts total?

VDB didn't attack it was Vanendert.

Again, that was Vanendert, not Jvdb.
You keep making the same mistake

I sure hope Leipheimer gets a scolding for not riding at the front or not paying attention.
Phil: "And that's the question about this great rider, isn't it Paul? He has the legs to be a champion, but does he have the head to be a champion?"

I'm not sure if he really tried. He immediately started looking back to see if the GC contenders were coming.

too soon to say-we're talking about sharp hills at the end of a long stage, not a long mountain stage where the legs get rested on the downhills...

Yeah, both his attacks have seen go the front looking as if he is about to burn away and then he has paused. Just showing he is there or realising that he doesnt have the legs?
