Alpechraxler said:Andy Schleck lost 1:18 because he didn't wanted to touch his own chain on his own TTmachine.. I'm really sorry but someone who has not the balls to grab that chain and lift it up by hand onto the small ring doesn't deserve a TDF win or even riding that 10000 $ bike.. Man you get dirty grindy hands so what.
No, they use Shimano, so he must just be horrible at shifting.Logic-is-your-friend said:Do they still use Sram? Maybe time to switch to Campa, it can take more abuse. Or Andy needs to learn how to shift gears. Even better.
Why do you have to be so nasty to every BMC rider?Moondance said:I think I've got it figured out: he's not a good cyclist.

no, many idiots here and elsewhere thought it was a mechnical at last years tour while it was andy blundering again. hope he does the same thing in the tour and all those schleck fans can cryPublicus said:I thought that was decided as FACT after the TdF last year.
kjetilraknerud said:Please. A proven prologue rider does well on a flat 5 km prologue. This prologue however, is basically a climb and a descent - with a little bit of flat in both ends.
Grabsch? With a climb? He favours 60 km TTs that are slightly downhill all the way.
Hushovd? Favours the 5 km pancake flat prologues - no climbs please.
TGBM was 11th last year, Simon Gerrans was 9th. Even Barredo was in the top 20! And that course had even more flat parts.
Moondance said:I am most certainly not nasty to every single BMC rider... I pointed out that Brent Bookwalter is not a good cyclist; which is true. If Brent Bookwalter was a good cyclist I would not have cause to bash him.
I have never critiqued a BMC rider whom I consider to be good, i.e. Ballan, Burghardt, Quinziato etc. I used to, of course, bash Evans, although you will perhaps note that when my reasons for bashing Evans disappeared, so did my criticism of him.
Should Brent Bookwalter or Alexander Kristoff or whomever become actual good riders (in Bookwalter's case I doubt it, Kristoff at least has the potential to) you will not read one word of bashing from my posts.

Ah come on, Karsten Kroon is an okay rider as well.Moondance said:I'd say, Van Avermaet, Ballan, Burghardt, Evans, Hincapie, Morabito, Moinard, Quinziato, Santambrogio, and Tschopp. They've also got a handful of solid talents, who have yet to fully prove themselves with the pros, like Kristoff, Phinney, Roe and Eijssen.

Moondance said:Kroon has depreciated right down to his residual value. He is pretty much done, and can only function as a mid-level domestique these days. Ergo, not a 'good' rider.
auscyclefan94 said:When did TGBM become a good prologue rider? How did soler finish inside the top 20. Lets hope he can get back to what he was like....
I'm not a fan, but he looked to be on good form for the classics. I think he can still be pretty useful (as long as stupid Leo van Vliet doesn't assign him team leadership for the Worlds).Moondance said:Kroon has depreciated right down to his residual value.
