Bad day to be Andy Schleck. Hope he doesn't look like this in the tour. I'm losing any faith in him I had when he's getting dropped by Horner and too many people at the TdS. Meanwhile, Contador was winning with ease...

As long as Frank obviously has managed to hit his form in time for TdS I wouldn't be worried about Andy for TdF. He has probably just been on a training camp in tenerife recently and is a bit tired from the high altitude training.

Still 50/50 between him and Conti for TdF I think.

do you expect much more from ryo?

He is the most aggresive fanboy I've ever witnessed.

Next time he makes a comment like "amazing uran collected water bottles OMFG..." just tell him to go suck a lemon.

It was funny that you were actually being quite nice to him and he comes out with that unprovoked and needless attack.

In this case, lets remember this gem from the very near past

I suggest you give up on Soler. I already did, it's liberating.

Anyways I was kind of hoping for TGTJ (The Great Tejay) to end up in yellow but this was still a pretty good stage. For once I might have a little criticism of F. Schleck's tactics though: He clearly looked like he could have followed that random Movistar dude I've never heard of, but he chose to let Cunego do the work. IMO he should have gone with the Movi-dude and if he had dragged Cunego along and lost the stage it wouldn't have mattered - at least he would have gained another 12 seconds on Leipheimer and Teej, both much stronger than him in ITT!

He did announce before that defending his title was not his absolute priority but he was riding offensively up the whole climb and and least this way he could have gotten more out of it.

That "random Movistar dude" you've never heard of is a former Tour de France polka dot jersey winner, and part of the trio that cracked Contador in Castilla y León last year.

No one is at Soler's level that much is for sure but Fränk was letting Cunego do all the work, it looked like he was more worried about not dragging Cunego to the line than getting back Soler

Sorry I only heard about cycling in 2009. As it appears Andy also did well in some minor Italian race in 2007 though

How old are you? 5?

Nice baiting with Schleck there, insulting to both Schleck-fans and the Giro.

Seriously dude, you had never heard of Soler? His name is more synonymous with crashing than Fränk Schleck's. Also famous for his polka dot jersey.

Well to be fair I'd heard about cycling but I always thought it was a cool, popular abreviation of "recycling"

I believe he was referring to the young Schleck's brilliant 38th in the GP Industria e Commercio Artigianato Carnaghese.

Yea, it's remarkable they find the space to do different races there. They don't have the broad range of terrains and routes of some of the bigger cycling nations, like Andorra, Liechtenstein and Tristan da Cunha.

Is Tristan da Cunha an independent nation or does it politically depend on UK? Or is it just part of the Commonwealth?

Politically dependent. I think it's just about the most isolated populated place on Earth. Like, dependent on government from St Helena which is days away dependent. Like, serviced by fishing boats from Cape Town as there's no airport & helicopters can't get there dependent.
