Looks marginally easier than the previous stage. Could be another one for Sagan - I'd stick my neck out to say he'll be on the podium, trying to defend the points jersey. Goss hung on for longer than some of the other sprinters in the last stage, so he might reappear for this. Goss, Boonen, Sagan? I'm assuming Cav gets burnt off again in the last few k.

Stybar in top 5. Impressive display by him today leading out Boonen, and staying ahead of him.
But ventoso for the win

Cav took it easy at the end of stage 4 so he must be going for it today. I don't think the course is hard enough to count him out.

Wouldn't mind Tomeke boonen doing well here. I would hope that HTC are riding for Goss on this stage and yesterdays stage.

Hmmm.... I don't think Cav will get dropped here, but he can be outsprinted. 2% should even the odds between Cav and Hushovd, although Cav could take it.

That said, HTC might prefer to go with Goss, even if the Harley could couldn't compete with the best today.

Unfortunately, Boonen looks like he's lost his final kick. Could be a matter of form though.

It's form, probably... in Gent-Wevelgem he won the sprint quite comfortably. Although he says he's approaching top form right now.
I had forgot about GW to be honest. Perhaps it was the uphill that killed him yesterday, then he could perhaps feature today after all, with a slightly easier finish.

True, GW was a good sprint, but everything fell into place there. Perfect lead-out by Steegmans, Cav dropped by some stupid fall, Greipel boxed in (by far the fastest guy in that sprint), and still he could barely beat old guy Bennati. Boonen can still win sprints, but a lot of things have to go right for him to do it.

Did Ventoso assist or defer to Rojas yesterday or was it simply too hilly for him? I am doubtful he can do well today after an effective no show yesterday.

Rojas was in the top 5 most of the stage, got boxed in when Sagan + Hushovd flew away so couldn't go after them. He had at least 2 helpers in the last 5km with him (I think one was definitely Samoilau).

Could be a sprint suited to him like the Giro, especially now there's no Pettachi to cramp up either. :D

What about the Spanish Apparition (now he's racing, now he's not) - he can climb well.
