Widely reported as Ballan, but yeah, whoever, not substantial.

80 Valeryi Kobzarenko (Ukr) Team Type 1 - Sanofi Aventis 0:00:16
81 Alessandro Ballan (Ita) BMC Racing Team

dont see how ballan could lose 16 seconds in the last few hundred metres.

Who's the unlucky HTC'er who's had a crash but still has to work up the front? Looks nasty.

I'm just going off reports. I really don't care, but equally it's not uncommon to lose a bit of time if you give up at 350 to go and start rolling, as that guy (whoever he is) did. It was an uphill finish - the guy finishing 3rd going as hard as possible still lost 2 seconds.

Any reason why Euskatel are killing themselves on the front 20km from the finish?

From the cyclingnews live update "Euskaltel-Euskadi is on the front, leading the chase. They will be riding to set up Koldo Fernandez"

it was burghardt, any fan with one working eye could see that

Apologies, my 1 eye didn't pay much attention when I had already read the day before that Ballan went early, as I was focussing on Thor.

Regardless, I've forgotten what Marcus looks like since he left HTC and killed his career.

I really hope their efforts dont go to waste. They should do it later so as to make sure that GVA is at the front.

Does anyone have an English stream? I'm watching the Luxembourg stream, and as nice as it is, I can't understand it!
