my post was not related to BMC or americans so no need to mention them.

Cycling has a certain amount random nature to it. I won't deny that some riders have a little more knack for staying out of trouble, but that may have something to do with their standing in the peloton. Each crash must have its own set of circumstances. A lot of things come to play. I wouldn't throw Soler or any one else under the bus for it. I hope he and everybody else is alright.

Petr Cech and Christian Chivu are still playing football after their cranical fracture.

It all depends on how bad it is.
For reference, Chavanel broke his skull last year at Liege and he was back at Suisse. There's no way to know with the info we have, too many bones in the skull and too many ways to fracture them.

Stage not neutralized.

Soler apparently fell quite hard and crashed into the audience. I don't know anymore details apart from the cranial fracture D_T reported.

Did any of you see the crash on TV? Was it during a descent?

Sorry to hear about soler but im afraid he porbably should give up for his health and that of everyone around him, his bike handling is so apalling and he crashes so often hes just plain dangerou especially now hes hurt spectators

Soler :(:(

I'm a big fan of him but lets face it, he should stop for the safety of himself and others. I don't think it's possible to even be that unlucky, must be some quite bad bike-handling involved.

If there is no brain damage or eye, nose should be fine, but as for confidence on the bike again ?

Ok. But as far as his TDF and presumably season goes, forget about it, right?

Did they airlift Chavanel to hospital then?

Other example: Slagter broke a facial bone in the Giro and he's back in this very race.

For them to say skull fracture in no time ie before scans, it probably a depressed fracture. Ie the skull was pushed in .

A metal plate a screws will go in once the swelling goes down. My guess vuelta will be lucky. But it may not be as i read between the lines.
