it wasn't an anger outrage. just making fun of the natural forum bias towards english speaking riders. which is understandable :p

Ha! I was referring my OWN anger and outrage after today's finish.
It caused me to miss some of the details of the stage. :D

Levi doesnt "deserve" to win. You people are something. He does. He has the lowest overall time. Done.

Pro cycling is entertainment.

Levi didn't entertain us properly.

We'd like our money back for the price of admission. :p

Ah yes, Tirreno 2006, Dekker 1st, Boogerd and Kroon top 10? Totally forgot about that one, but suisse is bigger i think

In the 2005 Tour of Poland Weening, Dekker and Boogerd finished in the top-10 as well, but that's a much lower level of course, despite having the same UCI-category. Anyway, this is certainly the first post-Boogerd/Dekker triple top-10 ;)

Just saw the result. I can't believe that edited by mod edited by mod little edited by mod Levi beat our Little Prince.

Amazing TTing by beetjuiceshack though. They're gonna crush it in the Tour TTT.

Lance said he'd smash the Little Prince. LEVI did it for him. Good Levi. Lance happy. Go to Aspen collect $200.

Another victory for cynically calculated conservative racing.
Overall, a lot of poor trialing performances.
Cunego ultimately snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
Shack seem to have the monopoly on superior time trialists.

Wow, Levi won and I missed the forum explosion. I've really got to stop going on vacation during these races. Good for him. I've never been a big fan of the Little Prince, though he's certainly a more exciting rider than Levi.

Levi is 8 years older and what does he have. 2 gt podiums while domestiquing and 3 calis. Pfff

Let the dog have its day.

Cmon, Deutschland Tour, Dauphiné Libéré, Castilla y León...actually a very nice palmares.

LL's attack on the last bit into Malbun won it for him. Those 8-9 seconds was the difference. Of course, the TT was the actual event that won it, but he timed his one aggressive move in the entire TdS well.
Who'd have thought?

Sorry Damiano, but if you can't defend a 2 minute advantage in a 30 k TT you don't deserve to win the race.

Exactly. 2nd best post of the thread (after the one saying this is the worst day of my life :p).

It is by far I would say. Mega exciting times for Dutch cycling fans, particularly Rabo fans. 3 in the top 10 here and Gesink on the sidelines. It won't happen just yet but please one day unleash these 4 guys. The future is Orange folks:cool:

Kruijswijk on the podium, very nice. Watch out Gesink, he's approaching fast.

What he said.

It was a great Tour de Suisse - good mountain stages, good sprints, and a good TT.

Can't believe Andy and Frank. Nice work by Matthias Frank, hard luck for TJVG. Radioshack annihilated that course today but Cancellara was a beast. Cunego had been strong the whole time but he lost it in Malburn where Levi gained 9 seconds and therefore had a gap he could close down. The contrast in their positions was so obvious. Congrats Levi.

This was completely funny.

Internet memes are to forumites what rioting and looting are to hockey fans. :D

RU kidding? the charged negative posts in anticipation and reaction of a Levi win in this Forum is super entertaining.

LL's superior preparation and execution showed thru once Cunego began Flailing away on the last day. Bravo Bottle!

Yeah, hating on Leipheimer for riding defensively in what is essentially a warm up race for the Tour, and then killing it in the TT to secure the win, well, it's a bit ridiculous. I know you dislike the guy, but don't take it all out on this poor thread.

While I probably wanted Cunego to win along with almost everyone else, this was a great, strategic win for LL, like him or not. It's also how he's won most of his other big wins. Hanging in on the mountains, coupled with very efficient TTs. Cunego knew what he was up against, and couldn't capitalize.
