Ahahahaha whoops. I hit 'go to new post' and it took me to your top 10 so I missed the previous one.

Anyway, good for Modolo. I've been a casual fan of his ever since he got sixth at M-SR last year.

I KNEW THAT! Why did I write sixth? This thread is messing with my mind. I'm gonna go post somewhere else until I regain the ability to think straight.

It's also hard for them to get a visa to compete in Western Europe. I'm sure they could add a lot to races in France/Spain/Italy/Portugal, or if not, it would be a great learning curve for them.

Tabriz Petrochemical was supposed to ride the Vuelta a los Pirineos/Tour des Pyrénées some years ago, but couldn't get visas. It really is a shame.

On the team website, TPT state they want to become a ProTour team someday. I'm afraid that's just what you write to please sponsors, but if they really aspire to go that way (and get the visa problems sorted out in some way), it would be great.

I'd love it if they could go ProConti like Scott-Marcondés César did a couple of years ago; get to ride some events like the Tour of Turkey at least.

Yes please!
But not in the way that Scott - Marcondes César did it (it was last year, by the way): They barely raced outside South America (I can only find results from he Tour of Turkey), and folded in August due to financial difficulties.
I'd rather have TPT find sufficient funds instead of making the second step before the first.

How on earth did Scott-Marcondés César ever get a Pro Continental licence? At least that CEP actually race in Europe and they get invites to WorldTour events like the Volta Catalunya and hopefully in the next year or two they are given a wildcard for the Giro or Vuelta. Hey if Skil Shimano can get a ride...
