Wasn't Henao supposed to be more of a pure climber?
No, always was an allrounder

that the cycling world stereotype of a colombian=pure climber is pulled out of the closet again is cracking me up

The speaker said: "Looks like he is not going to be nr. 1, but it certainly will be very close!" Dude, he wasn't even in the finishing "straight" when he came over the line. How was that close ffs?

The feed (especially the commentators) was a mess today. Hopefully it will be different tomorrow.

Oh boy, more invisible previews!!

Perhaps they will be on TV, but we don't get them on the live feed.

Ok I stand corrected then.

Really follished by the colombian-"mountain goat"-stereotype :)

Dave Z had to be soft pedaling. He's gone by me looking faster than that on training rides.

At any rate, this is shaping up to be an interesting battle between Shack, Garmin, Mancebo, the Gobernacios and maybe Tejay/HTC.

I almost can't believe I'm saying this, but my money is on Danielson. He actually seems to be going pretty well, pretty consistently, and the final stage suits him.

That downtown stage is going to be interesting. Maybe not as hard as the Park City stage last year, but it's still going to be plenty tough.

Well Henao will definately suffer in a flat windy 50km, so it's not like you are completely wrong

But he can ride a fair bit against the clock and has a pretty good sprint in his legs as well (from a small group obviously)

The commentators are so annoying.
Not sure what everyone else was watching, but the feed from the official site, via Tour Tracker was raw; meaning they were pre-production. Speaking for my self, I found it an interesting 'behind the scene' glimpse into the decisions network's have to make prior to the polished broadcast.

In all, it was a very interesting "prologue"; perhaps the GT's ought to take note. (I'll admit, I am not a fan of prologues.)

When i saw Henao there i was like OMFG whats going on but when i saw Sevilla there i just started laughing. Ryo spent 1 and a half years acting as getting top 10 in Vuelta a Colombia ore Venezuela etc was like getting top 10 in a gt but now we see Sevilla and Henao beating up on tt specialists. What is going on.

Im upset to see Henao start winning before i could cash in on him. Cycling news calls him "little known" . I hope not too many people take note. Yet. We could be seeing Contadors successor.

You might be getting a little too carried away there. He beat Sevilla. At the Vuelta a Colombia he was beaten by Félix Cárdenas and, again, finished just ahead of Sevilla. No doubt he has talent, but for someone who is 23 and a half years old he hasn't been that impressive yet.

You like them carrots. You should be touting Mikel Landa as the next Contador instead.

He is probably the most likely out of the young riders right now

How about Andrew Anacona? He's like 19 and podiumed in the Baby Giro along with a stage win.

I think we'll get to see Contador's successor when he already retired. Remember, Basso was called Armstrong's heir as well, but who would of thought that his heir was hidden in Armstrong's last pro team before his first retirement.

And this is just the Tour of Utah, 90% of the peloton sees this as a vacation ride. Plus Levi probably isn't in good shape and Zabriskie won't be either. These guys dropped out of the Tour. Well Levi didn't, but did anyone notice him? Hardly OMFG to see someone beat them.

I get a feeling Mancebo is going to win this race.
It will be interesting to see, if he tries to secure another European contract for next year (even may it be with a team like Caja Rural or Miche even), or continues to beat up on people in the NRC
