For all we know Henao might have made the first acceleration. There were no shots of the peloton until inside 1km to go on the final ascent, and then suddenly we saw Leipheimer with Henao in his wheel and no-one else nearby. I think Brajkovic and Sevilla both bridged solo.

I think Henao said in the post race interview that Leipheimer went then he followed

Is this when you guys were thinking Jesse flipped someone off? I can't find any other pics of him doing something like that.

That's why riders attack on a climb, so other riders can't follow.;)

Without being sarcastic, they attack on the steep section of the last climb.:)

I know that. But I found it somewhat odd. The cameras really didn't focus when the attack happened, I just saw Henao behind Levi. Surely there could have been someone else from the GC guys that could have followed them.

Based on the prologue and previous results I would have thought at least Mancebo, Danielson, and Van Garderen would be able to follow those other leaders. Maybe they thought they would save energy because it would get caught on the flat part after the climb......

I was thinking the reason they didn't follow was because they thought that what happened in the end wouldn't happen. That they would eventually catch up to them.

With smaller teams it's harder to chase. I wouldn't mind smaller teams in GT's as well. The problem is that only few riders from the Worldtour teams can ride a GT in a year. This will force smaller teamselection as well I think.

I think Danielson, Mancebo, Bauer TJVG, Louder and Sutherland are screwed.

Good to see Norris/ Dempster/ Parker here. I am curious to see how they handle this race and whether Parker might finish top 10 in the ITT

I just watched the TV broadcast. I was pretty surprised to to see how squirrelly Henao is on the bike, from the way some of the posters were talking about him I expected him to be much more fluid.

Great race so far, but the TV coverage has been dreadful. Any good radio coverage?
I don't get Fox Sports and it's not on till 11pm. So I haven't seen the TV replay.
But I am enjoying the raw live coverage webcast. I'm sure once all the footage is edited it makes exciting watching.

Like most of the Colombian climbers.

Probably the best style now is on the hands of Duarte. And maybe Uran is next. But Henao does not look fluid at all.

I did not see the final climb, but it seems Danielson and Van Garderen didn't work hard to get back on. Looks like they wanted their cake and to eat it too. Instead, they're 2 1/2 minutes back.

I guess that happens to riders not used to winning races. :(
